On draft @ Bear Republic.
Appearance, cloudy, nice carbonation. Unfiltered hefeweizen.
Big fan of this one. Listed as "Wine Country Wheat" at Bear Republic. I don’t know if this is a different recipe than the regular hefeweizen or not, but I actually kind of love this beer.
It’s a wonderful fruity hefeweizen. Definitely some residual sugar. Reminds me of a sweeter weihenstephaner. Would definitely order this one again. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - FEB 14, 2004
Tap at brewpub. Big wheat aroma with cloves. Hazy, medium gold. Flavor is estery, of cloves and a bit of banana. Wheat finish. Nice representation of the style. JoeMcPhee (9454) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 4, 2009
Tap at Rattle-N-Hum. Clear orange-yellow beer (yeast appears to have settled out). Lovely aroma of orange and nice spicy wheat. A soft clovey character over a nice rich biscuity viennaish malt. The wheaty aroma really comes out and combines nicely with the other crackery malts. Not a lot of banana in this, but there is a lot of fruity peach and citrus. Soft wheaty mouthfeel... this is a surprisingly tasty hefeweizen. Distinctly different from many brewpub varieties. TimE (5999) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 8, 2011
spicy, clovey, really well balanced. Bubblegum and spice. Really nice and authentic hef

Hanging with JoeT at the brewery on Aug 9, 2011 for my birthday. I was more focused on the company than the notes, but these’ll do until I get back there this summer and do it right. Listed as Wine Country Wheat at the pub. Light haze in the pour. Nose yeasty spice and high citrus/lemon. Taste is smooth and bubblegum. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 7, 2002
Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Sweet, easy summer beer. Has the style down pat SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUL 17, 2009
Draught at the brewpub during RBSG09. Hazy yellow with a big head. Perfume y, fruity, and spicy aroma. The flavor is pretty spot-on, with banana and clove, and the body has a nice creamy feel. Pretty much what you would expect in a German-style hef, but done well. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 20, 2004
Draft @ the brewery. Semi-cloudy orange. Sweet and sugary lemons, wheat. Finishes with a fresh zesty sweet lemon flavor. illidurit (2347) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 14, 2009
RBSG09 on tap at the brewpub. Pours milky gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas of bananas and cloves with a citric tinge. Flavors of orange, lemon, banana, clove, and yeast. Creamy mouthfeel and easy to drink. Pretty typical but not bad for an American hefe.
