Can. deep brown with small head. Chocolate forward, moderate roast. Decent for the style, but nothing super unique.

deyholla (12896) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 28, 2017
Can. Pours a clear dark brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains and chocolate supported by roasted malts and a hint of smoke. Flavor starts with dark grains and chocolate but has growing roasted malts and a bit of smokiness underlying.

Tmoney99 (15396) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Can. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted chocolate sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

BlackBeerPG (1096) - Darien, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2016
Taste: slight toffee, mellow, chocolate malt, dark cherries, maybe toasted coffee beans. Mild malt nose. Very dark Brown, semi clear, with small head with no real lace. Medium body. Not super robust but it would still pair with many meat dishes.

thehoff (597) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 3, 2016
Nice example of how porters are truly meant to be. Not big huge stout imposter like a lot of recent porters are. Good Cocoa powder. Lots of Carmelized coffee and vanilla. Lightly smokey. Very refreshing beer.

katrinaez (2523) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2016
Aged in old George Rye Whisky and Bourbon barrels from Grand Traverse Distillery. 7.0% abv, pours dark black with minimal head, smells of rum soaked raisins. Very smooth with a slight burn on the back of your throat. Light hints of vanilla. Tap at brewery.

chucklemation (1841) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - AUG 8, 2016
Pours a hazy brown with a thin head. Aroma is chocolate, roast, coffee, and caramel. Flavor is harsh coffee/roast, chocolate, and caramel. Plenty of carbonation, a bit thin. This is a roast-heavy porter. Decent.
