Has a malty aroma with light smokiness. Texture is really smooth and creamy. Flavour has a lightly burnt, bitter malt taste and later some smoke. Dry, thirst quenching finish.

Dark dark reddish in colour, pours with a thin head. Aromas of roast coffee, malt loaf, chocolate and hints of cherry and peat. Good balance of bitter and sweet. Well carbonated, medium bodied for a stout.

Bottle (500ml). Pours a deep ruby, almost dark brown or black, with an average size diminishing frothy tan head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and light leafy hops. Flavour, also nice, of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate, light leafy hops and a hint of pepper. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Very good, a nice surprise.
