Bardzo smaczny stout. Malenka piana i znika niestety szybko.
Has a malty aroma with light smokiness. Texture is really smooth and creamy. Flavour has a lightly burnt, bitter malt taste and later some smoke. Dry, thirst quenching finish. will1 (141) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2012
Dark dark reddish in colour, pours with a thin head. Aromas of roast coffee, malt loaf, chocolate and hints of cherry and peat. Good balance of bitter and sweet. Well carbonated, medium bodied for a stout. cgarvieuk (26365) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2011

Cask conditioned. Red brown, good cream head and good condition. Massive lingering aroma of chocolate powder from start to finish, intense roast barly and chocolate explosion in the mouth and a long chocolate finish that becomes dry and bitter with time. Will not disappoint if you like stouts.

Dark but not totally black like some stouts.Slight smokey tang that gently lingers. Another decent beer from Beartown. DanielBrown (4563) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2005
Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Now then, here’s a beer I almost sampled once before - well I drank something labelled as this beer, only to get home and realise it sounded nothing like the one every other Rater described... Better late than never, and this is actually a Stout worth waiting for, from a brewery who have yet to disappoint me in any way. Good crispy, peppery roast here - with a smooth, asky quality. I sometimes struggle to adequately describe the subtle differences between Stouts, but this is a good un. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2005

Jet black smooth stout with some sweetness. A pleasant slightly dry roast finish with hints of oysters.

A stonking good stout. Chocolate is the key component. Dark, bitter chocolate. I didn’t realise it was an oatmeal stout and I can’t say I detected any significant sweetness that normally comes from the oatmeal. Holds the attention throughout. Full flavoured and forceful, with a lasting, slightly sharp finish.. Cask (gravity dispense), Catford Beer Festival 2005.
