Towey1989 (3435) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2017
Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, treacle, some blackcurrant, slight liquorice and subtle roasted malts. Taste is similar of chocolate, treacle, some blackcurrant, slight liquorice and subtle roasted malts. Medium bodied and a prickly texture. A dry, liquoricy fruit bitterness in the finish. A fruity and liquoricey stout with some treacle like it says on the pumpclip. Not bad.

Cask @ The Architect, Chester [070917]
Pitch black, dense beige head, soft lacing
Aroma - dark fruity malts, blackcurrant
Taste - sweet dark fruity malts, ribena notes, no roast, dab of treacle, odd flavour
Palate - medium body, smooth, sweet, soft jammy. Finsih of dark fruit jam, getting a dab of burnt roast in the tail
Overall - jammy dark stout, not sure about this - did not finish - may not be in best nick

Nocturne (2238) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2013
Cask at JDW. Black or perhaps dark brown with a ruby glint. Creamy tan head on top. Roasted malt aroma leads into more roast in the taste with hints of liquorice and blackberry. Nice flavours but the beer was quite rough and didn’t seem to hang together well enough.
