Brewed for the troops in British India - The beer was loaded with malt and hops to survive to long sea voyage. This is an Americanised version of the classic IPA. Big bitterness and roast malts flavours dominate this beer. Significant late and dry hopping make this a full and complex ale. Colour Copper.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours copper white head. Nose shows pine, stone fruit and resinous hops. Smells a little boozy too. Taste is pine, caramel and some grassy notes. Okay but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

640 Ml bottle Hazy orange amber color, solid one finger head. Good strips of lacing with this. Nose is muted citrus mostly. Some biscuit, grapefruit and orange. Lots of citrus acid though. Odd. Taste is odd as well. Lots of malt, acid and very little bitterness. Yes it is a hybrid but not that good. Medium bodied, chewy and somewhat heavy.

Understated aroma. Only hint of any floral nature. It is the same in taste. Just a light splash of citrus and same for bitterness and hops. It is an IPA but a bit underwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bit disappointing - barely any fruity hop aroma and this is mirrored in the low impact, muted taste - well balanced, no alcohol presence, easy drinker - more English best bitter than APA - get the feeling its a bit dumbed down for non-hop heads - amp up the US hops, leave the malt low impact and Ill be a happier man.

640mL bottle. Pours deep golden almost amber with a small white head and a nice sweet pine/citrus aroma. Definantly US east coast style IPA big sweet pine and grassy notes backed by a nice caramel malt. Defiantly worth a shot.
