COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wild Oats No. 20 Mango Saison • 6.1% alc/vol A collaborative beer by Beau’s and Trou Du Diable, FOUS ALLIÉS is based on a classic, refreshing and snappy saison style, with an intriguing fruit twist. FOUS ALLIÉS underwent a secondary fermentation with the addition of organic mango juice, then even more mango juice was added to more fully capture the true fruit essence. Expect tropical fruit aroma with peppery notes; the flavour is also fruity and faintly tart, with a pleasant, dry finish. Lively carbonation and hints of white pepper accentuate the quaffable character. Delicious mango flavour adds complexity, slight earthiness, and playfulness to the to the presentation.

Draught @ Trou du Diable. Cloudy and pale, with a hint of mango. Lots of fresh malts, bright mango and maybe some spice but not as much as some of their other beers (TDD, I mean). The mango comes through nicely in the finish.

Lubiere (13911) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2012
A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, pleasant mix of mango pulp and spices, coriander, orange peels, nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with ginger extract, curacao, mango, a bit too sweet. On tap at Arrow and Loon, May 30 2012.

courtesy of a fellow ratebeerian I just can’t remember the name... - quite pale golden beer with a modest head retention; earthy aroma with notes of oranges and exotic fruits; medium-bodied; slightly acidic; dry and with an aftertaste of mango and bitter oranges

On tap at Bar Volo. Dirty blond appearance, virtually no head. A little funky peppery spicy nose. Smooth mouthfeel, well carbonated. A sipper, and tasty, with white pepper,a little salt, cardomon, a bit of ginger and other nondescript spices. Some chocolate malts. A tad of smoke and of booziness in the finish. Good drinkability

2012-06-02. Dark hazy pastel yellow, small white head. 3+ Mild aroma, fruity, mango fruit that I might not have identified if not told that that is what it was since I do not often eat them, light sweet wheat like character, mild yeast accents. 7+ Flavour is quite sweet overall, fairly fruity, light yeast character. Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+ Decent, enjoyable, I could happily drink a few pints in an evening but I am not sure that I would return to it often. On tap at Wvrst, Toronto

Pale golden pour with a thick head. The nose is lightly sweet and a little bit tropical. Some light peppery notes as well as a little bit of fruit. There’s some light honeyed notes as well as a bit of grapefruit and some sweetness. It’s more Beaus than TdD but it’s okay.

(Rating #4473)

Bottle at Thirsty & Miserable. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of lightly tart citrus fruit, some herbs, honey and malt. Sweet flavour of yeast, herbs, some honey, light hops, malt and some fruit (mango and more). Average bodied. Slightly too sweet for my personal taste but still an enjoyable beer and one I’d happily have again.
