[Bottle (600ml)] Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy white head. Good amount of lacing. Aroma (7+) is Bretty, citrusy and grainy first followed by more fruit and some herbs. Bretty/yeasty flavour along with herbs and citrus. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

5000th batch of one of my favourite Canadian breweries, and my 1000th rating on RateBeer! Thanks Beau’s for helping me get this far and continuing to invigorate the Canadian beer scene, kudos! Golden sparkling beer with a bright white head. Smells soapy and like that pleasantly scented kitty litter. Some grass and berry. Taste has lots of straw like grain and dry funk, tastes like the fields that it came from, wild and free. Slight creaminess in the palate and hop oil, medium bodied and easy to drink, excellent beer.

On tap at Le Bateau de Nuit: Clear yellow color, visually weak because it was served in a regular glass. The smell and feel is very fresh. Nice brett flavor with some tasty malts and fruity citrus. The finish is medium strength with leafy hops. Medium body with prickly carbonation. Good balance, not too sweet, and just the right amount of tart. Overall good quality craft, could be very good if bottled.

(Rating #7091)

Bottle (600 ml). Split 2-ways with the lady. Clear pale bright green-ish golden with a medium white head, good retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is interesting with herbal wild yeast, floral notes, lemon, peppery presence and leather. Taste is of pepper, Belgian yeast, herbal brettanomyces, leather, lemon and mineral bitterness, Medium body. Rather high carbonation. Dry finish. The bitterness, the peppery presence and mineral presence lingers for a long time which hinders drinkability and enjoyability quite a lot. Nice aroma but the finish kill this beer.

On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016. Somewhat golden pour with a small off white head. Some light floral notes with lemon zest, some yeast, pepper and some butterscotch moderate carbonation and body, easy to drink although somewhat minerally on the finish as things dry off. Interesting but regardless congrats on 10 years.

Gluepot (612) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2016 A translucent amber body. Delicate, pure white head with top to bottom lacing. A very appealing nose features sweet malt, sourness, mixed fruit, and a hint of rye spice and cooked vegetables. An pretty saison with spice up front including lavender, rosemary and corriander. There is an almost Brett like vegital funkiness to it and some rindy citrus fruit and straw. Very smooth but not too sweet. Fuzzy effervescence helps keep it dry.

On tap at L’Autre Oeil. Slightly hazy golden with a frothy white head. Flavors are bread, tropical fruits, dust, pine, sweet cereals and spices with vinous and funky notes. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.
