From County General in Toronto. Very cloudy, almost opaque amber-orange with fizzy foamy off-white head. Smells of lime, tangerine, musty sweet malt, bit of cinnamon. Quite musty in a way that comes off as un-fresh. Taste is acidic, medium sweetness, light bitterness, tart lemony finish. Body is acidic, fizzy but in a slightly flat way, sweet. Like a Saison, or hoppy spiced orange juice. HKdIPA (878) - HONG KONG - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle at County General in Toronto. Hazy deep amber pour with bubbly foam head. Aroma is slightly grassy hoppy, farmy, like a hoppy saison meets an amber ale. Taste is similar. A bit more food/savory taste probably some spice additions. Tastes "wintery" but not overly so - orange, clove, pepper. Not bad but wouldn't get again. Spicy yeast aroma, brown cloudy bog appearance, sour lime and lemon notes with hints of hops and spice. Tart on the tongue with a small bite.

Spicy aroma, an appearance that fits the name. The taste is spicy , sweet, and sour all at once. An absolute delight in your mouth UM02 (384) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 28, 2014
The best gruit I have drank so far (I rated their Bog Father a bit higher but that is a hybrid not a pure gruit). This might not be to everyone’s taste but they got the gruit right and balanced it well with the malt (I have drank some truly horrible gruit). A mild caramel nose followed by an earthy bitterness and some spice in the aftertaste. I don’t think gruit will ever take back its place from hops either with the general public or in my heart but when done well can produce a very nice drinkable beer like this one.

The flavour is light bitter, some spice, herbal, earthy. Finishes long, sweet to start turning herbal. codfishh (202) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2014
Pours a hazy brown thick fluffy white head, aroma has some sweat bready malt and dark fruit. Flavor has a strong malt background with some peppery notes and a slight sourness. Enjoyable beer. cargo150 (1288) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2014
Couleur brune ambrée completement opaque avec un mince col qui se dissipe rapidement. Aromes de fruits acre, de caramel, d’herbe, très terreux. Mal balancé... Désagréable a boire... worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2014
Smells of yeast with moist leaves, caramel, cloves. Marky brown with a white lacy head. Tastes of ripe vegetables with berries, caramel and yeasty finish. Barley. Tastes like a barley wine but with less sweetness. Herbal
