COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong & dark beer, inspired by the Alfred bog, is our very first seasonal offering. Featuring bog myrtle, or sweet gale, harvested from the wilds of northern Quebec. This ancient herb was used in brewing hundreds of years ago and offers bitterness, a sweet aroma and herbal spicy notes.

Bouteille 600ml.

600 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. 06DE12.

App.: Deep reddish-brown, murky with a smallish yellow-tan head. Aroma: Quite like a Belgian Dubbel, strong yeast, dark dried fruit, light esters, malty and playful, faint minty herbals. Palate: Medium+ body, fine, creamy effervescence. Flav.: More herbal, bread, toast, yeast, less fruity, a touch roasted, faint esters, malty with more plant character; basically dry with minimal bitterness and a full ,yeasty, bready, malty finish.

Finally rated after a few bottles over the years. Enjoyable.

Whoa! Unique. Cloudy pour. No head at all. Aroma of fruit and yeast, that continues on the palate. Short finish. Not something I'd buy again, but worth trying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a muddy copper brownish colour with a decent soapy tan head leaving some sticky lace up the glass. Aromas of spice, lemon, yeast and some sweetness. Flavours of clove, yeast, light zesty lemon, overall spicy.

Thanks to cfrancis for this. Pours a murky brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of sweet dried fruits, spicy herbs, pine. Taste is yeast and cloves, some sourness then has some sweetness and fruity notes. Interesting beer that is easy to sip on.

Has a murky brown like colour, Aromas of fresh pine and spruce, malted and caramel candy. Has a sour taste profile with a tangy zesty finish which is surprising given the aroma on the nose.

pours hazy dark amber, light brown-reddish with a decent light beige head, some retention. lightly sourish berries, leafy spiciness, nicely toasted malts, tingling citric acidity, short but present grassy finish. hint of sweetness. relatively soft carbonation, light body - some oiliness. original, interesting... and nice!

3 finger head that gos away a few seconds or so later. Carbonated. Smells kind foresty(twigs, ect)juicy and mabye a litle spice or something. Taste is kinda mudy like with some juiciness some twig, stick, forsty like tate. A little spice/yeast and stuff like that. Heavy bodied, leaves a little sour saliva in my mouth and a few sips have a bit of a alcoholic burn for a few seconds. Odd in an interesting way. Different bottle then picture. Cheers!
