COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seasonally or sometimes just once a year, Altbier breweries in Dusseldorf will covertly brew special, stronger batches of their Alt, and share them with family, friends and regular patrons. Beau’s toasts this historical tradition with Festivale Plus, a stronger, bolder and oak-aged version of our internationally acclaimed summer seasonal beer, Festivale. Shhh -- it’s a secret!

Quevillon (3155) - Boisbriand, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 25, 2013
600 ml bottle purchased at the brewery in June 6, 2013. Red brown, small head. Aroma of ripe spicy fruit, nutty. Taste more nuts than fruits, sweet alcohol, alcohol finish. Alcohol is too presant!

VT (2527) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 23, 2013
600 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange-copper amber with a nice white head. Aroma is earth, herbs, wood. Flavor is sweet, caramel, earth, copper, oak, toast, wheat bread, but especially, VANILLA. Finish is sand and earth, wood, herbal and spicy hops. Lingering wood, spices, vanilla. Medium body, weak to average carbonation, soft mouthfeel. A man’s beer, but worthy of being a celebration ale.

bunget (1010) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 9, 2013
600ml bottle. Beautiful dark copper body, medium orange head with good retention. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt, apricot, a little nutty and woodsy, though vary faint. Taste is much bolder: a mild herbal hops bitterness, biscuit, roasted malt, rye bread, caramel. A very pleasant experience.

Jool (198) - - JUL 9, 2013
Bouteille 600 mL. Rousse foncée. Nez mince, un peu de malt et un côté métallique. Bouche tout aussi mince, un e trace de caramel, d'herbes et de médicaments. Finale asséchante. Non.

Bottle lcbo. Slightly sweet medicinal grassy herbal aroma. Tastes the same, a bit odd, booze comes through, not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Spab (4002) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2013
600 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear mahogany with good-sized, creamy, light tan head. Aroma is rich, lightly toasty caramel, mild dark fruit, spice and earthiness. Flavour is big, lightly toasted caramel malt, bready grains, prune, gentle spiciness and some earthy hops. Fairly creamy texture. Nice.

PapaSkeetSkeet (1010) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - JUL 1, 2013
dirty amber with warm tan-dust head, a finger or two thick, fades at a moderate pace. Pine at grass hopes in aroma; some Christmas cookie and light caramel, touch of metallic hops. Light grass flavor with resinous bitterness and light caramel; smaller pine than aroma, but some fresh bakers yeast (not fruity) is present, especially at the bottom of the bottle. Yeast flavor is clean and neutral; no fruit present. Palate unmemorable.

bdettweiler (57) - KITCHENER, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2013
Dark orange-red with thick tan, almost orange head, that is quickly reduced to about half a finger with heavy lacing. Aroma of mainly toasted caramel with some herbal and citrus hops and spice.Body is medium with above average, but not overbearing carbonation. Taste is like the aroma. Sweet and toasty at first with a long, dry bitter hop finish. Overall, a very tasty, refreshing beer.

Draught at Bar Hop. Pours a deep orange-ruby with a small long-lasting frothy off-white head. Mild aroma of dark fruit, light spices and lightly toasted caramel malt. Flavour of dark fruit, a bit of grain, toasted caramel malt and a bitter, spicy finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle as a gift. Pours a nice dark copper with generous beige head with good lace. Roasted malt nose with slight citrus. Very balanced sweetness and bitterness. Creamy palate with nice carbonation.
