Don't like any ginger beers so not a fair rating here lol. Aroma of ginger is overwheming. Good body, some caramel flavor, earthy, the base beer seems ok, but the ginger spoins the experience, even bitter ending can't supress it.

Ginger is quite strong but it’s not bad, not bad at all. I was expecting the ginger to be mild. Unique brew.

Probably the worst beer I’ve ever tasted. Interesting aroma of cloves, resin, ginger. Lingering and very unpleasant bitterness akin to cough syrup; way too bitter, even dominating the ginger. I was expecting either a hopfenweisse or a ginger beer; this is neither. Undrinkable (could not even take a second sip).

[8695-20160910] 600mL bottle. Gingery pepper aroma has a light maple syrup note. Clear, bright orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Green and pepper flavour has a fruity light sweet maple syrup hint. Medium body. Good, interesting. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

4oz sampler from a flight. Hazy gold, small clingy white head. Lemon/citrusy nose, fruity. Taste has spice and ginger, fruit, sweetness, pretty hoppy. Interesting.

(Rating #7279)

Orange cloudy with thin wispy head. Ginger and bright fruits with hops in the nose. Taste is similar, but unbalanced. Some nice pineapple and citrus flavours on the tongue. Ends very dry. Not bad.

Where and how: tasting (bottle 650 ml)
Aroma: strong notes of freshly cut ginger notes. A bit one sided. Ginger lovers will like it.
Appearance :
Top: medium sized, slightly tanned. Nice lace on glass, with rings.
Base: hazy, amber gold
Palate : medium thin bodied, average plus intensity.
Taste: nice ginger notes, not too spicy. Enjoyable, refreshing creation. Worked with noted touches of vanilla.

Spab (4085) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 26, 2016
600 ml bottle from LCBO (part of 2016 Octoberfest pack). Pours a cloudy golden orange with average-sized, lasting white head. Aroma is ginger, pepper, tropical and citrus fruits as well as some floral character. Flavour has spicy ginger, lemon, tropical fruit, perfumey flowers, clove and pepper. Fine carbonation. Interesting.
