Sampled at the brewery. Dark amber, generous white-ish head. Looks like a Weizen. Aroma is roasty and hints at a sweet brew. Taste is surprisingly grainy for a DW, but pretty much Beau’s like in that regards. Less sweet/fruits than expected (but, otherwise really DW-Like). Floral hops. A bit of a by-the-numbers DW.

October 21, 2010 at The Toronto Beer Experience, Berkley Church. On draught (I think it was a keg, the last one they had left after Hallowe’en). Hazy deep amber with an average creamy-fizzy off-white head. Extremely sweet aroma - tons of caramel malt, candi sugar and banana/pear for days - but there’s a lot of pungent herbal/floral bitterness trying hard to balance that out. The taste is more bitter-forward than the aroma - quite grassy/herbal, but the deep-seated sweet fruity/estery malt is still hugely present; not much alcohol presence, although I am close to saying this is "sugary" - close only. Fairly thick mouthfeel, average carbonation, the sweet maltiness fades quickly, leaving the bitterness as the lingering impression. Good, not great; very easy to drink.

Draught at the ’The Toronto Beer Experience’, Berkeley Church. Pours a deep amber-gold with an average size frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, grainy and sugary along with some banana. Flavour’s the same, grainy and sweet, with candi sugar and banana. Average bodied. Might be well made but not to my tastes.

Cask (I think) Sample at Toronto Beer Experience. Pretty pour, dark amber with generous head. Roast malts in aroma and flavour. Medium bodied. Enjoyed this.

On tap at Oktoberfest 2010. Pours a darker brown amber with a big almond frothy head. Aroma is yeasty, roasted malt and spice. Taste is a medium body, slightly roasted malt, a mild hop and clove. Nice beer but flavour is a little subdued, would have liked a bigger mouthfeel.
