COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian ale featuring intense tropical fruit notes from generous late-addition hopping and spicy character derived from fermentation with Belgian ale yeast. The bitterness is apparent but balanced by the fruity hops and spicy notes provided by the yeast. History & Style A Pro-Am collaboration with Joey Kilbride, Best of Show Winner of the 2012 Homebrewing Competition at the National Capital Craft Beer Week in Ottawa. Tasting Notes A complex array of aromas present themselves in this beer; tropical and citrus fruit notes (orange, unripe peach and star fruit) from the hops along with some piney inflections. Also present in the bouquet and on the palate are spicy, peppery notes and some clove intonations. The finish is clean, balanced and dry with some lingering hop character. The VI edition. Pours a hazy copper with a large initial dense dull white head that slowly settles and leaves quite a bit of lace on the glass. Aroma is grassy, citrus, clove, tropical fruits and Belgian yeast qualities. Flavour is cloves, spicy Belgian yeast, fresh grass, tropical fruits, and grapefruit.

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a nice white head that leaves lots of sticky lace. Aroma of banana, I?ve some spicy Belgian yeast, citrus hops, tropical fruits and guava. Taste is spicy Belgian yeast, cloves, tropical fruits and a nice bitter grapefruit finish. Overall very well balanced and a nice array of Belgian yeast flavors mixed with NA hops. Could easily drink this all night.

Tap: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a large frothy head with good retention. Aroma consists of dry hoppy notes with some fruity ester and light grassy notes. Taste is also dominated by grassy notes with some fruity ester and some dry hoppy notes. Malt presence can also be felt but doesn’t play a huge role. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid take on the Belgian style IPA with great complexity but retaining some drinkability.

Bottle - 600ml. Amber body with a good white frothy head. Fresh, sharp hoppy aroma with fruity and herbal hints. Its well balanced hoppy taste carries woody, herbal, and citrusy notes. Ends with a sharp, long bitter finish. Well done.

600 ml bottle purchased at the brewery in June 6, 2013. Golden honey, medium head. Sweet aroma of hops, yeast fruitiness. Taste more dry, but quite hoppy, fruity note, little bitterness. Pretty creature!

Sweet, but well balanced, just like I like it. A very good Belgian ale. I liked it a lot.

Deep golden pour. The nose is spicy and a bit sweaty. Some light pepper and a touch of lemon. Peppery and some soft clove and a touch of citrus as well. Assertive bitterness. Lovely actually.
