This has a marmite aroma mixed with a little chocolate & coffee. The taste is like a bitter espresso & quite dry.

600 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with generous brown head. Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate and nuts. Jayseppi (159) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
Big pillowy head sits on top of a jet black body. The aroma is all roast with some hops coming through at the end. The roasted malt dominates the flavour as well, but there is a hint of pine as well. A tad thin in the mouthfeel, but overall this beer was not too shabby. One of the better efforts from Beau’s. HogTownHarry (6868) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2013
600ml bottle c/o "G." Deep ruby-black, huge fluffy tan head. Dry roast aroma, a little peaty, not too sweet, nice bitterness. Taste follows, a real iodine character, a little treacle. Average body, slick, mild carbonation - nice enough. rejtable (2676) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 24, 2013
Pours cola some head and no lacing. Notes of coffee, roasted malt and maybe a hint of bitter chocolate. Medium bitterness, medium sweet. Full, almost creamy body with lively carbonation.

This elegant Schwarzbier builds enduring roasted cereals onto balancing herbal hops and milky connotations leading to a memorable bitter finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam covers the darkness.
-This is not a complex brew, but it is highly enjoyable. That what matters, right?
-Hints of molasses and burnt bread crumbs appear in the compelling aftertaste.
-German Porter, eh? Tastes like most Schwarzbiers I’ve had from Germany. What matters is that is roasty, lean and balanced.
Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malts and bitter chocolate.
Taste is rich roasted malts with bitter chocolate and a mild bitterness in the end. OntBeerDrinker (514) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2013
Jet black w/ big head. Smells of chocolate, spice & booze. Taste is a watery chocolate, spicy hop bitterness, a little of roasted coffee(maybe). I have had better beer’s that taste like this then this one because this one was veary watery and may of had nothing to do with coffee and it was supposed to be like a mocha NOT just chocolate. Liked it but have had better beers that taste like this. Cheer’s!!! kevinsenn (2213) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2013
Bottle from Jane Bond. Roasy chocolate aroma. Smoky chocolate taste with nuts and a lager crispness. Good body to it. Enjoyed the 600mL bottle down to the last sip; well done, Beau’s. bdettweiler (57) - KITCHENER, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2013
Very dark brown with ruby hints and a thick, creamy mocha coloured head. Aroma of dark roast coffee, roasted nuts, some hops and smoke. Palate is medium and creamy with moderate carbonation. Taste is sweet mocha malts up front, followed by bitter, herbal hops for a crisp, off dry finish. Not sure about calling it a Baltic porter (packaging says German porter - a style that is new to me), but I like it.
