A hazed golden amber ale with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light bananas and sulfur notes, cloves, nice. In mouth, a sweet banana malt with light berry notes, OK. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.

Beaus private order group. Traditional as in no hops, myrtle detected. So-so drinkable. A strong yeast aroma, funky yeast beverage mostly. Soft carbonation. Medium yellow with some bubbles, and lace lines. Nothing exceptional. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 19, 2012
2012-10-08. Hazy pastel orange body, small bubbly off-white head that fades. 3+ Flavour has a sweetish citrus melange, modest bitterness, very lightly astringent at times. Five Alive like citrus melange undercurrents - but not that sweet - add a quality to the bitterness that I struggle to describe. 6+ Aroma has a similar quality to it that I can’t put my finger on, vaguely citrusy/fruity herbal character but not quite that. Average plus bodied palate is under carbonated. I really enjoyed it, but it is very odd. On tap? at Brewmarket, Brick Works, Toronto JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2012
Cloudy orange pour with no head. The aroma is spicy and softly peppery. A little bit of orange peel and some spicy yeast. A bit of light clove along with some light spiciness as well. More saison than anything. Interesting. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2012
[4853-20121008] Cask. Strange herbal spiced lemon balm aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with no lasting head. Something like muted raspberry in the flavour with creamy grainy yeast. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

Bottle [600ml]. Pours a hazy straw-yellow with an average size mostly-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of straw, grain, yeast, banana, citrus, herbs and spices. Mild, fruity, slightly sweet, wheaty flavour along with grain, herbs and spices. Medium bodied. Just good, I don’t love it but its O.K.

Bottle - 600ml. Hazy blond body with heavy carbonation and a thiin white foamy/creamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and herbal hints. Taste is well balanced. It carries some grassy, bready, and coriander notes. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal finish. Good stuff, but a bit thinner than expected. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2013
600 ml bottle from the brewery via Lubiere (merci!), served cool in a tulip glass. 16NO12.
App.: Hazy deep golden with a so-so white head.
Aroma: Sulphur, Beau’s rustic graininess, bright lemony citrus, a little estery, hints of minty herbals, a bit fruity – tree fruits, pome fruits, a touch of caramel, a bit earthy...is there some coriander?
Palate: Medium body, somewhat prickly yet loose effervescence.
Flav.: Oddly cloying, fairly fruity, with some old apple juice, a little green/grassy/peppery hops, some yeasty, light esters, coriander?; more Belgian Ale than Traditional Ale, IMO; off-dry with minimal bitterness and a slightly alcoholic, grainy, fruity finish.
A whole lotta “meh”. Aren’t Traditional Ales usually dark??
