A hazed golden wit with a thick creamy white head. In aroma, a classic cloves and bananas with light maple cream and orange pulp. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt, bananas and cloves, weizen like, not bad. Medium bodied. Dryish. Bottle from brewery, courtesy of Inertiaboy, shared with Diogene, Mike H. and GRM. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2010
2010-06-22. Hazy pastel yellow, modest white head. 3+ Aroma is spicy, light wheat and estery yeast. Flavour is similar, spice, hints of mint? Tart wheaty character, modest bitterness throughout and grassy hints. Subtle. Average palate is just a touch light for my preference, but the glass at the table across from us is downright murky - the pours had an inconsistent level of yeast. A bit mild overall, but an enjoyable take on a wit. Tap at Volo, Toronto mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 12, 2010
[2917-20100622] Tap. Musty old wet log aroma with odd wheat notes. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Nice wheatie fruit flavour has a hint of lemon. Medium body. Quite refreshing and quenching.

Draught at Volo. Pours a cloudy yellow with an average size diminishing white head. Mild aroma of grain, some banana, wheat and herbs & spices. Flavour’s the same, grainy with wheat, light banana and herbs & spices. Average bodied. It’s fine and well made but I find it a bit dull overall. Draught pint at Volo 2010-06-21. Boy for a beer that was supposed to be available once ONLY in ONLY one place, this sure has a lot of ratings. And the Beau’s dude was at the bar when I walked in - he knew who I was and thinks I hate him - hell no, I just hate a bunch of their beers (and the way they passed off fuck-ups are new beers in their early days); they’re making some decent stuff now - except for that syrupy mess that was their "DIPA." Anyway. Very cloudy orange-yellow with a solid lasting creamy head (4-). Smells thick and malty - fruity (apple/pear/banana), sweet, yeasty, and a bit boozy with a shitload of pungent coriander. Taste - follows, but a bit thin - I was expecting massive malt and spice, and this seems a bit of a let-down, even a tad papery - but the aroma was 7+ and this is more than 6, so ... (7-). While the malt presence was less than beefy, this is actually pretty thick, almost too much so - I felt I could choke on it if distracted while gulping it; this finishes quite dry and bitter from the coriander - I could wish for more malt and less newsprint, but ... still pretty good.

App.: Extremely cloudy dirty golden with a small white head.
Aroma: Lots of banana esters, dirty, yeast, very earthy coriander, no detectable juniper or maple...
Palate: Medium-ish body and moderate effervescence.
Flav.: Even more esters, still lots of yeast, a bit of dirty/earthy coriander, minerals; dry with low bitterness.
Not awesome, but I am glad to taste this collaborative brew. I hope that more Canadian brewers follow suit by collaborating with established foreign craft beer breweries.
Picked this up from the brewery. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a white head and nice retention. Aroma coriander, orange and yeast. Taste is a really nice balance of citrus and yeast. This is a very good Witbier, one of the better ones that I’ve had from this side of the pond and definitely a great Ontario beer. Hopefully this will be an annual brew. Good job Beau’s! garthicus (2926) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 5, 2010
Draft @ Beer Bistro. Appearance: Lemon yellow, very cloudy with a nice White head. Aroma: slightly hopped, a little yeast, quite a good amount of wheat and a lemon zest. Flavour: metallic lemon at first opening into a yeasty, refreshing brew. Light lemon & yeast finish. Not bad. barncatmatt (2285) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2010
on tap at chancey smiths. muddy beige with a frothy white head, really ugly but the snow white head had great retention and left nice lace. aroma was fairly standard for a wit, didnt pick up any maple. the flavour is similarily decent but nothing special. it cool that this collaboration happened but the result is rather average.
