Very dark w tan head. Almost light and sweetish palate. Spicy fruity taste profile under hops, which are gentle - moderate glint of steely noble hops. Long medium-dry finish.
[5157-20130310] Tap. Light grainy aroma. Brown black body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter hoppy light resin flavour has a long bitter light roast aftertaste. Medium-full body. Delicious and hoppy, very well-balanced. (7/3/8+/4/16) 3.8

draft at Bar Hop, Toronto. Darker amber pour, fruity & floral aroma. Not overly flavorful, medium bodied. OK Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 27, 2013
Mahogany colour with a thin head. Fruity aroma. Roasted malt flavour. Sweet liquorice hints. blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 26, 2013
Draught at Bar Hop for ’Dark Water Series 2013’. Pours a very dark brown with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Really nice aroma of Belgian yeast and hops along with a good amount of herbs and a touch of spice, almost like a hoppy Saison -- I didn’t know what style this was before ordering it so it was a nice surprise amongst the many Stouts and Porters at this event. Flavour, also nice, of Belgian yeast, a good amount of hops, grain, herbs, fruit and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. This was really good, one of the highlights of the event. czar (9250) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 18, 2013
on tap at wellington gastropub, ottawa. unclear brown with a small light beige cap, little retention. caramel fruitiness, fruitcake, spices, very hint of roastiness, citrusy and lightly piney, leafiness and fresh hoppiness - lathough they seem to have fainted a bit. average carbonation, light to medium body, nice citrusy-spicy finish. belgium spiciness, roastiness and hops seems to not blend well to together. also, the brew seems far from a bipa. but, i did enjoy it..

Tap at Bar Hop. Deep brown-black pour with a thin white head. The nose is spicy and herbal with a touch of molasses and some pepper. A little bit of licorice and leather along with some light peppery flavour. Herbal
and sort of dried fruit character. The spice is quite muted but the yeast kind of works. solidfunk (9181) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Another strange beaus experiment. Bipas are already a hybrid, but a Belgian bipa is too much of a wrestle. Some floral aroma but it overrides the roast malt flavor. Pours pretty black with some lacing. Carbonation a little high, finish only slighlty bitter. Other than some florals, what’s missing here is hops profile. Tap at barhop. jercraigs (10635) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 12, 2013
2013-03-10. Very dark brown head fades. 3+ Modest hops in the aroma, lightly fruity, muted citrus. 7++ Nice grapefruity citrus in the flavour. Modest malt just a kiss of dark malt. 7++ Smooth average bodied palate. 3++ Pretty solid! One of the most drinkable of the day. Pour is almost pure black, light tan head. Aroma has nail polish, yeast, grass. Body is a little watery. Medium bitter finish. Not really coming together for me on this one. Spab (3962) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 10, 2013
On tap at the Only Cafe. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is fruity Belgian yeast, spice and light roastiness. Flavour is mostly fruity ans spicy with a gentle roastiness. Mild carbonation. Pleasant if a little underwhelming.
