8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy
One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Go ahead and sink a few, be rude not to really.

Bottle from a bottle swap, thanks Idealpint!

Very pleasant citrus aroma. Taste is malty and very pleasantly full and again full of citrus. Interestingly smooth, very tasty

Can from the brewery. Just a top quality beer again, the dry hopping coning through with an off note of rye. Starting to think beavertown beers, especially the regulars, taste all rather samey. All great beers but more individuality would be great.

Orange/brown with a fair amount of lacy light brown head. Big hop bitter aroma like an IPA, with some earthy rye there as well. Taste is a great mix of rusty, burnt rye and bitter, floral hops. Lighter on the palate than expected. Cracking beer!

Poured from a 330ml can @home. Very hazy to opaque. Dark orange-brown. Off white head with some great lacing. Hoppy aroma with caramel and slight biscuit malt. Citrus, pine and faint earthy bouquet. Medium bitterness and sweetness, bitterness slightly stronger. Crisp and clean. Medium body, oily texture. Soft to slight medium carbonation.

Hazy amber color with tall white head. Aroma fruity and hoppy. Taste dry bitter, but quite short finish. Notes of caramel. Mild body. Good, but not perfect.

Pours in orange hazy with frothy head. Nose small with fruity sweetness and light hops. Taste is slightly watery with low viscosity. But yet some hops and slight bitter. Some dried fruits to go. Palate short but agreeable.
