Pours a deliciously thick black with an amazing hop burst rising out of the glass. Packed with the pungent fruit of citra hops the beer’s backbone holds it up well. Exquisitely balanced, with a moderate roast character letting the hops do the bittering. There is sweetness in there but exactly the right amount. This is a hell of a beer.

12 oz from utobeer in London. Nice hops and malt flavor. Tastes on chocolate, figs, brown Sugar and vinagar with a slight undertone of cola. Nice!

Can. Dark brown almost black pour with light brown head. Aroma has citrus and fresh coffee. Taste is fresh and quite light. Good balance. Medium heavy body. Medium carbonation

A 330ml can with a best before date of 1st September 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a dark dark brown colour with a one and a half finger tanned head that had good retention and left some nice spotty lacing. Aromas of citrus peels with some nice roasty malts and cocoa. Taste is pretty much what you would expect from the aromas with nice citrus flavours, balanced with roasty malts and hints of chocolate and coffee. There is also a lingering grapefruit finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall a good Black IPA that is very easy to drink. It’s 7.4% ABV but feels very sessionable. Quite a dangerous combination.

Black to brown body, two finger tan head that doesn’t last. Toasty malts just come out on top over high bitterness. Nice but a bit rough for me.

666th rating for the beer, seems oddly fitting. On tap at Galbraith’s. Pours black. Toast, charcoal dust, blackberry, orange peel, something quite floral, little grapefruit pith, some raspberry stuff, some chocolate. Homemade jam on cremated toast. Delightful.

Can 330 ml from OddBins, Notting Hill. Floral aromas with notes of coffee, caramel and chocolate. Pours black/amber body with a beige head. Taste is bitter and hoppy with coffee, burnt caramel, milk chocolate and subtle citrus notes.

Paladar dulce luz :. luz a medio amargo que sube, carbonatación media general :. fantástico IPA, uno de los mejores aromas equilibrados. Sabores stout con amargor muy bien balanceado.

33cl can purchased @ Rock Out Shop. Robe brune avec une fine mousse. Attaque sur le café léger et le caramel. On sent bien le malt puis une légère amertume pour terminer. Malheureusement il n’y a pas du tout de longueur.
