COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bloody ‘Ell – We have never brewed a straight IPA at Beavertown, why change the habit of a lifetime! Here we take a stripped back IPA malt bill and highly hop it with the tropics of Amarillo and Citra and pile head on with kilos of Blood Orange zest and juice late in the boil, bringing you a smack of citrus and hints of warm orange aromas. One of our favourite and most popular seasonal brews. We will be canning Bloody ‘Ell too from February until the bloody oranges run dry!

Strong notes of citrus, resin, golden with a good white head, light body, medium carbonation, not very intense, just a bit of citrus and the only the bitter final...obviously not bad but not very intense and balanced.

The pour’s hazy gold with a tiny head. The nose is strong orange fruit candies. Some earthy, dank hops. Unwashed armpit funkiness. Pissy citrus. The taste is quite pulpy. Loads of mango and orange tropical fruit juice. Light bubblegum. Earthy bitterness on the finish. Pretty light and nimble, easy to drink. Overall, solid.

Can. Interesting one. Starts very ’quick’ and refreshing. ’Light’. Has a nice orangey body, leaving citrus throughout yo’ mouth. But, then the alcy hits, giving it a boozy finish, but not unpleasant given the start was so silky smooth. I imagine you could get way too drunk drinking this on a hot day. So, be wary.

Little aroma and not much of a looker. Fairly generic in these regards. Tastes real good though. Bitter sweet orange with a marmalade tang, whilst never reducing itself to tasting like fruit syrup. Still recognisably an IPA. Overall, it is better than the sum of its parts.

On tap @Beavertown taproom. Hazy orange with a dense head. Plenty of orange zesty notes in the aroma and plenty of hops as well. Taste is initially sweet and then turns into hop bitterness with orange and some background malts. Refreshing on a hot day outside the taproom, but very much not sessionable at this abv... (go for the Neck Oil instead - beautiful when fresh)
