Cask @ Duke’s. Light gold with a tiny white head. The nose is faint grass, some honeyed cereal and peach, orchard fruits. The taste is light grape, mild green apple. Some strawberry and grass. This beer has a mild infection, and obviously isn’t drinking on peak form. Light body, soft carbonation. Overall, the mild infection obviously hurts the score. I look forward to trying this again. Leighton (22821) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2012
Cask at Duke’s, London. Pours clear gold with a very, very weak head. Orangey citrus nose with some toasted straw. Light to medium sweet flavor with some lemony tang, toasty dough and light, grassy bitters. Very nice. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with just a nip of resinous hop bite, more citrus, mild rind, faint bread and a bit of grapefruit and pineapple. A very decent golden ale. Really nicely done.
