Bottle @ Home. Deep hazy brown with a prominent off-white head. Dry haystack, a bit of manure. Dirty roots, countryside. Very earthy aromas. Shaggy tobacco and black pepper flavor. Sweet apple, slightly nutty malt. Pretty dry on the finish. Light body, very active carbonation. Solid.

Bottle at home from alesela
Pours black with pillowy beige head and aroma of lime sherbet and a touch of fruity resin. Medium body, fairly high carbonation plenty of sharp grapefruit with some earthy coffee. Quite bitter and resinous in finish. Nothing saison like really...black ipa but very sharp.

Dark brown, slightly murky with an off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, pine needle hops and a bit of marmite. Spicy initial flavour with some cooked vegetables with some slightly astringent hop bitterness and that light saltiness again... In fairness my palate may have been burnt by a long days tasting, so it may be re-rating.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham. Sour candy nose with lemon and candied papaya. Flavour is dryer than expected with very little of the candy coming through - more fresh hop notes of mango and orange peel with a little bit of gentle malty sweetness.

Niall73 (2434) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2013
Bottle from Kris Wines. BBD April 2014. Pours a murky dark brown colour, barely any head. Aroma is yeasty, earthy, grassy, a bit funky, a bit lemony, slightly sour. It’s light to medium bodied. There’s a lot going on and I found it hard to pin it down. Anyway, there’s some lemon citrus, dark sugars, a touch of caramel - almost like a flat coke with some lemon. But there’s also yeast and a spicy earthiness to it. There’s sweet and sour and some bitterness. I liked it.
