Humuloid is the natural extension of our IPA Lupuloid, a double IPA with plenty of wheat and oats for a rich body, and fermented with Vermont yeast to lend it some fruitiness. Low bitterness in the boil, but then dry hopped with 18 g/l of Citra and Azacca for huge hoppy aromatics balancing out the sweetness of the finishing gravity. Malt:Golden Promise, Golden Naked Oats, Wheat, Flaked Oats, Dextrin, Acidulated Yeast: Wlp 4000 (Vermont) Hops: Columbus, Citra, Azacca

Can from somewhere, England. Of course it is a delightful af beer, I wouldn't expect much else from Beavertown. A more mature beer from them than most, the excessive hops have been tamed by some pimped up volume. Delicious.

23/XI/17 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 24/I/18 (2017-1934)

Pretty clear orange beer, small irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, mango, peaches, passion fruit, citrus, some grapefruit, some caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts up front, orange peel, slightly sugary, nice bitterness, citrus, some caramel. Aftertaste: marmalade, citrus, grapefruit, nice bitterness, sweet malts, orange peel. Somehow I was expecting more of this...

Quite aggressive in the hops - exotic fruit, peach, pineapple, citrus on the nose and in the mouth. Then comes the piney bitterness. Lively. reasonably thick body. Very good DIPA

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Keg at the Nags Head in Reading. Cloudy and tasty dipa, hops and malt in harmony to make for a nicely but not aggressively hopped beer that goes down nicely.

Can, 8.7%. Appearance- hazy bright golden, a small foamy white head which doesn’t last. Aroma- pineapple, tropical fruits, orange juice, mango, hops, lots of fresh fruit. Taste- fruity hops, orange, pineapple, grapefruit, pithy fruit, sits on top of creamy, caramel malt, fairly thick and juicy in the mouth. Hop bitterness is understated. Very good.

330ml can. Pours a bright orange gold with a white head. Aroma: nectarine, mango, orange, pine and caramel notes. Taste: nectarine, orange, mango, pine, caramel malt, mild pineapple flavours. Medium bodied. Mild tropical sweetness followed by a moderateam lingering bitterness. Quite easy to drink and hides it's alcohol. This was very nice.
