Humuloid is the natural extension of our IPA Lupuloid, a double IPA with plenty of wheat and oats for a rich body, and fermented with Vermont yeast to lend it some fruitiness. Low bitterness in the boil, but then dry hopped with 18 g/l of Citra and Azacca for huge hoppy aromatics balancing out the sweetness of the finishing gravity. Malt:Golden Promise, Golden Naked Oats, Wheat, Flaked Oats, Dextrin, Acidulated Yeast: Wlp 4000 (Vermont) Hops: Columbus, Citra, Azacca

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2017 Mooi goudblond licht troebel met parelende witte schuimkraag. Zeer fruitig en tropisch in de neus en mond. Ananas, mango, stervrucht, papaya, meloen, exotisch. Mooie volle fruitige smaak met een fijne mild-bittere afdronk. Licht creamy mondgevoel. Top.

09-12-17 // can. Purchased at Beyond Beer. Hazy golden. Tropical fruity nose. Aroma of mango, maracuja, papaya, peach, grass, lemon, soft mouthfeel. Medium bitter finish. Straight from the can different. More aggressive, more fizzy, more bitterness, more grass than fruit. Scratchy hop bitterness in the throat.

Can: pours Hazy golden colour with dissipating foamy white head. intense tropical fruits in aroma & flavor, clean crisp malt flavors, medium hop bitterness which lingers in aftertaste, juicy smooth texture. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

From tap at Craft Bier Fest, Vienna. Hazy, light orange color with a white head. The aroma is medium hoppy with orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, sweet mango, some sweetish malt and hints of honey. Medium to full body with a light to medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness - nicely balanced. The flavor is pretty hoppy with lots of ripe, sweet fruits, similar to the aroma with orange, mango, papaya. Not exceptional but a really good IIPA.

Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17

Draught at CBF Wien.

Orange, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, yellowish head.

Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, earth, mango, lychee, some biscuit.

Tastes quite similar, but even fruiter and also earthier, with some more pine.

mouthfeel, with a carbonation.

Finishes very crisp, moderate bitter, medium dry, citric, earthy, very fruity, a bit sweet, with slight biscuit.

Delicious. Especially the taste is very lovely, perfectly balanced and crisp. Typical lovely earthy notes, like in many Beavertown IPAs. Another outstanding DIPA by them.
