Intense smoked flavours, Islay whiskey, peat, bacon, cacao, dark chocolate. Hazy, very dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More bitter, dark chocolate, smoked flavours, burnt cacao, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice and smokey, intense and complex, one better likes Islay whiskey. Keg at IMBC17, Manchester.

@ Borefts Beer Festival 2017. Smoke, woodfire in Aroma. Not peated! Roasted sweet smoke in taste. Palate is full and creamy. Nice aftertaste. A tad too smoked to my taste.

Sampled at Borefts 2017. Pours close to black with an off-white head. Lots and lots of smoke, ash, a bit meaty, bbq, big roast. Too smokey for me.

330ml can shared with Mike. Pours deep dark, thin tan head. Aroma is rich smoky meaty treacle. Taste shares similar characteristics, woody, smoky, oily yet a little dry. Some burnt toast, a little liquorice, more wood and smoke, very well balanced. Delish.

Can via the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. It pours a deep dark brown color with a medium brown head. Aroma is roasty and medium sweet with notes of milk chocolate, coffee beans, Toasted oak chips and vanilla. Taste is also medium sweet and lightly roasty dey with notes of vanilla, burnt wood, licorice, cocoa and and some alcohol warmth in the finish. Medium bodied with silky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Overall, tasty.
