COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Introducing the newest addition to our meticulous lineup of core range offerings, LUPULOID IPA, a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale. The most notable thing is that it is our first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!

First came the collaborations. We learned so much valuable information, and are eternally grateful to everybody who came to visit / opened their doors to us. These helped create fantastic brews in order to solidify in our minds exactly WHAT we wanted our IPA to be. Then we turned it over to you, and introduced “The Invasion Of The Lupuloids,” as a series of waves of beers accompanied by a list of every technical detail you could want and more – by way of something similar to Top Trumps cards – every thing from yeast strains, through original / final gravity, to total hop oils per 100g listed. We felt this gave people ample info to make an informed decision, and then we listened. As feedback came in we tweaked recipes and plotted new brews, releasing another wave with the same info available, and then repeated the process. The end result was 10 IPAs, that were tweaked and adapted with the feedback we received until we were able to bring you the LUPULOID.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy bubbyl head. Aroma is pineapple, passion fruit etc. Good moderate-to-high bitterness with mango-pine-resin finish, some astringency and grapefruit zest. Very good but I prefer Gamma ray.

Moderate tropical fruit / citrus, a little sweet, but most aromas are overwhelmed by the bitterness. This makes the beer a little boring in my opinion, I was disappointed. It’s an ok beer though.

Canned. 15cl sample. The aroma has citrus, tropical fruits. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is moderate bitter with citrus, tropical fruits, bit sweet biscuit malt. Refreshing beer. Good.

Can from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer, Glasgow. Beer served in 9°C, Wine Glass. Pours cloudy yellow golden, small head. Aroma is skunky, oxidized hops, herbal, a little bit tropical and citrous. Taste is semi citrousy, slightly bitter, malty, mild hop cons flavor. This beer is hard to be find fresh, but while it usually spent weeks on the shelfs it’s become pretty average.
