Smog Rocket Smoked Porter - Thick, dark & Robust
Inspired by the Industrial Revolution and the Steam Train.
Back in those days, the Porter was the everyday toast of the working-class masses. Let’s raise a glass to the people that made Britain ’Great’.

Porter. The way it’s meant to be.

Can, thanks Sandi! Pitch black body with a tan head with medium retention. Elegant aroma mixing smoked malt notes integrated nicely with sweetish chocolate notes, dry overall, a bit malty. Taste.... Full on blasts of lovely, lovely chocolate, with just enough smoke to balance it out but without being too smokey. Smoked malt here is not the gimmick but one of the ingredients. So damn soft, so damn drinkable. This is a fantastic beer. I'd hoped for a lot, I got way more. Hats off Beavertown, for the ABV, I cannot think of a beer as rich, as tasty in the style, the hype is real, it would seem!

Van de tap in de Wildeman, met M, Yukie, Huub en Rabo. Zwar van kleur, met een licht rooksmaakje, bijzonder lekker!

spiffero (52) - Camelford, Cornwall, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2018
Pours well, with a pale brown head which lasts. Smells lightly of cheap chocolate and malt. A decent fizz begins the mouthfeel, then follows a smooth taste of stale chocolate, with overtones of farmyard animal-feed mustiness. Very little hops presence. A touch of old mattresses. It's an amenable enough flavour, with no bad aftertaste. A serviceable but slightly coarse porter.

janubio (1003) - SPAIN - JAN 23, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2018 Dark colour, medium head with short retention, irregular small lace Aroma is at first very smokey, usually, to me, this reminds me of smokey salmon, but sure thin one reminds me of balcon. Thin it fades, chocolate, raisins and prunes take the place. Medium body, sticky texture, normal carbonation. Taste is smokey, milk chocolate, prunes. Oddly, I can't finish coffee, just a small hints. Decent drinkable, but again, nothing I would repeat.
