Can from bradleys in cork. Pours black with big tan head. Aroma - smokey, smoked ham/bacon, dark chocolate. Flavour - smokey, dark chocolate, treacle. Very good beer. Really good deep smokey/dark chocolate flavours. Savoured every mouthful of this beer. FinnIckler (891) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 31, 2017
Keg at ushers.
Nose is smoke, ham, bread, chocolate. Palate is smokey orange, bread, chocolate. Pretty nice. alexmate (285) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2017
Pepsi coloured with virtually no head or lacing. Smell of treacle, coffee and molasses. Tasted of coffee and chocolate to begin with as well as a slight metallic honey taste evolved introducing some treacle molasses, earth and green hops, had a smoky aftetaste similar to a whisky like Talisker or Laphroaig. Very good complex porter.

Can at home. It looked great in the glass and had a nice aroma of toasted malts. The flavour was all toasted malts and a sweetness that was pleasant. The mouthfeel was soft and velvety and the beer slipped down a treat. I had it with tuna and pasta bake and it worked well with the cheese. I couldn't detect any smokiness, which is a good thing and shows how well integrated the beer is. One complaint was that the sweetness became a bit cloying towards the end of the glass, but overall very enjoyable. Gary (2065) - London( born and raised), Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2017
330ml Cans. In a pint . I've easy access to this stuff around Brentford bottle shops and thus when I'm in the mood for the lower abv dark-shit , I've been bingeing on this fine beaver recently. A good beer to chug or to savour -this chill porter doesn't mind . This is very ,very drinkable, relaxing , and yet punchy beer. Chocolate, coffee and smoky oil doing the conga on your palate to the song Express Yourself by NWA..that's what these dark and intense flavours have me visualize on every chug. Good shit.
Zeer goed! Kita (2245) - Koper, SLOVENIA - AUG 2, 2017
Can, 0.33l. Pours almost black with thick creamy light brown head and fair lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruit, dust and mild smoke. Taste starts with light to medium sweet rich roasted malt and umami note, follows by licorice and mild sour fruitiness, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Getting better and better with every sip... theprof (1242) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2017
Keg. Aroma has caramel, roasty, coffee, nuts, bread, in no particular order. Pours black with tan top and broken lacing. Unable to detect clarity so lets assume smog. Taste is medium bitter with a sweet and oily finish. I’m not sure the industrial masses had anything as good as this. Hence Methodism.
