Pours copper with a short lived head. Aroma of the brett hits you the moment you open the bottle followed by a dry white wine aroma. The flavour is face punching sour, lots of dry grapes, funky brett and a bit of musky cheese. Amazingly complex.

kindly shared by impuritylaw, thanks a lot! quite exotic aromas of heated Quark/ a sweet dessert made with quark, butter and eggs fresh from the oven, that kind of smell. Sour, balanced taste, however quite monodimensional.

Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. A murky orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is sour and tangy, spicy vinegar notes, apricot, peach and green apple. Flavour is composed of jammy apricot and raspberrry, sour green apple and orange rind. Hint of wood in the finish. Palate is crisp, semi sweet, tangy finish. Ok.

330ml expensive bottle at Cafe Sånn. Hazy orange coloured body. Some bubbles on the surface. Dry aroma of lemon acidity. Solid taste profile of brett, lemony and gooseberry tartness followed by a herbal dry, long-lived, ending. Nothing wrong, just not my kind of good beer drinking and a bad choice to my biff salad. (Meet-up with Ellen, Tromsø 31.03.2017).

Bottle, fishing for my cermeonial 8K, April 2016. Unprepossessing flat fogged orange with no head but it’s lambic innit? Tastes that way at least; horsey funk tang, mouldy lime, long gone pineapple mad with yeast, damp fusty carpet, grape juice, cheesy hay over a lurking residual dried fruit sweetness. Sweet like sherbet is sweet. Sparkling and headless. More than a suggestion of legs. Vintage Drie Fonteinen creaminess squirted with tart lime. Bouquet of gooseberry yoghurt, old lime and white chocolate mice. Sour but short of stomach-clenching. But hold on a minute....here comes the heartburn. I’m not really selling it but it’s a deep and hugely drinkable fusion of good things.

(On tap @ CBC 2016 Blue Session) Pours a hazy gold with a white head and Aroma of tart green grape and white wine, rather Muscat-like as expected, gooseberry, orange peels and pith, pale sugary malt, subtle wood, light lemon, very bright concentrated fruity nose overall that’s on the tart side of sweet-tart. Flavour is tart and fruity overall but with a decent malt core as well. Dominated by white wine and grape notes with complementary gooseberry, citrusy flavours of tart orange and lemon, sugary sweetness, herbal notes, soft to moderate oak. Quite sour into the finish with lots of lingering fruity notes of gooseberry, grape and citrus. Tart, dry finish of white wine, subtle tannin, berry pucker. Average body and carbonation. This was lovely, great integration of barrel and fruit, proper balance despite the very sour edge.
