Bottle (50 cl) from bierzwerg.de. Sahdy golden with medium white head. O bit dusty and old malt aroma with some faint herbal hops, and some stale vegetables. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, low to medium bitterness. Another bottle from this which doesn’t seem to hold up very well when approaching it’s BBD (March 2012). A shame, because I get the feeling that there is a good beer lurking behind here.

(bottle) pours a slightly hazy deep-golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of heavy toffee, caramel and grain, with a hint of dish soap. flavour is mostly the same, lots of caramel and toffee, though not sweet, with a very light herbal-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle rated in Nov 2011. Head is mostly lasting. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), with notes of peach and orange zest, light note of metal. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. Nice aroma and flavor balance, slightly marred by a metallic quality.

Koelschtrinker (19101) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 2, 2011
Muffiger und herber Antrunk ohne Frische, säuerlich, sehr trocken. Der Hopfen ist stumpf und ebenfalls muffig. Dunkel getreidig. Säuerlicher werdend, ebenfalls getreidiger und etwas hopfiger. Kein wirklich süffiges Lager, das zudem disharmonisch wirkt. 9/8/6/6/6/6

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Just slightly hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of light bready malts, bit of caramel and hops. Flavour is light sweet, malty, caramel, bread, but overall with a refreshing grassy and some citrus bitter quality, dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Tasty lager.

Bottle. Swing top bottle with a medium head upon opening.Quite lively when poured with a clear appearance. Some pleasant maltiness with a medium body. The smooth maltiness brings another dimension to this lager, making a mockery of some of the British beers with that label. Definitely a good one.

Bottle @ Fanø Tasting, 2010.
Pours clear golden with a small, staying, frothy, white film head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light sugary. High carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is sweetish, a bit harsh (perhaps from too high carbonation). Fair bitterness in the finish.
