& Brown Inn, Stockholm. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is diacetyl, some malts, grassy hops and mild notes of vegetables. Flavour is diacetyl, mild fruityness, grass and some mild notes of wood and saltwater.
Bottle at Novare Res.
Fear not the name Beck, it’s not the same as the dreaded BECKS. Although some non-beerophiles that stopped by the bar ordered a bunch of these thinking it was (what a waste). So anyway this pours a golden color with a white head. Lots of bubbles! The flavor is very fine and crisp. Dry, appley and light. Nekronos (4174) - Xalapa, MEXICO - AUG 22, 2008
HAd it at GBBF 2008. NOt so special, maybe the name Back scares a little. BUt it was nice aftertaste after dirnking it. pivnizub (10766) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2008
Bügelverschlußflasche (purchased at the brasserie): Deep golden, mid-sized white head, visible carbonation; aromatic hops and bready/malty traces in the aroma; low carbonation, moderate to stronger bitter-sweet flavour; lingering malty and bitter finish. Decent franconian stuff.......... MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - DEC 17, 2007
(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a big and lacy foamy white head. Hearty herbal hops aroma with a tinge of honey and cara-malt in the background. Sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium bodied with a well-carbonated soft mouthfeel. Good malty base with aromatic herbal hops right from the start and subtle fruity accents; quite dry and lingering hoppy, slightly floral finish. A gem.

Aroma has malt and licorice. Sweetish, malty flavor with licorice and some fruitiness. Clean palate, low on carbon. Typical Bavarian lager, the emphasis is on the malt.
