Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 05/08/2009
Malt and hop aromas. Golden coloured floral and hoppy with a little bitterness in a crisp full malt finish. johndoughty (5455) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2010
Bottle. Swing top bottle with a medium head upon opening.Quite lively when poured with a clear appearance. Some pleasant maltiness with a medium body. The smooth maltiness brings another dimension to this lager, making a mockery of some of the British beers with that label.
Definitely a good one. fsim (10) - - DEC 30, 2016
Typisches Bier aus dem Frankenland....nur hier mal unterhalb der 5 Alkoholmarke. Sehr suffig, nichts ganz besonderes, aber trotzdem lecker und nicht ganz mainstream.

A Mes rate. Draught at GBBF.Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 4, 2009
Clean bright gold with a huge white head. Just a straight forward but rather adorable German lager. Yes, it’s slightly buttery. Yes it doesn’t do a great deal. Who cares, it’s a very good downable lager that was so refreshing in the middle of all the big / ott and not all enjoyable US beers we had to start the day with.
Bottle, from brewer. Rich warm gold with thick white head. Fresh bright minerally hoppy aroma with some pepper notes. Flavors are maltier, sweeter than the aromas. Silky palate. Many metallic flavors. Dry spicy finish. Nice. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2009
Cask at GBBF09. Alround rating: Nice and clean pale malt, little caramel, good hoppy bitterness, dry and balanced. Good stuff, i should have drunk more lagers this year. Dedollewaitor (16171) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2010
Bottle @ Brewery .Another amazing Beck Brau beer. Pours dark golden with a creamy lasting head and lacings. Full bodied. Very malty. Some caramel, buiscuit and lots of grassy hops. Very dry, crisp and smooth. German quality! TAR (2765) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle purchased at the brewery and consumed fresh in Nov. 2011: Golden with amber hues. Fat collar of white foam surrounds a fragmented center. Attractive aroma of lemon, honeyed toast, flowers, orange candy and mild sulfur. Soft carbonation deposits some foamy residue on the tongue. Rich and orangish up front, with vague cookie notes swirled with honey-bathed dough. Sturdy biscuity malt reveals some exemplary definition and refinement as it soundly anchors the core and persists with notable duration. Closes flowery and softly with hops coupled with an earthier bitterness, honeyed bread and a kiss of soured fruit. Pretty straightforward rendition, but clean and quaffable with appealing malt character (fluffy and beefy) and nicely balanced.
