I should have read the label more carefully. Beck’s Sapphire tastes like a typical, mass market American beer.

Pours a very pale golden with a thick white head.

Gracious, I guess they figure "who the f smells this stuff" but wow, breakfast cereal, copper, marshmallow, garbage... what a mess.

Flavor is more of the same, offensively sweet... tastes like corn flakes, has a light unfocused hop character, despite being named after a signature hop. Lightly bitter & herbal lingering characteristic is about as nice as I can get.

goodness gracious

12oz bottle from Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield. Brewed in St. Louis, MO. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Decent lace. Medium body. Stronger, kind of biting carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Kind of a macro lagery metallic aroma, your typical flavorless poor tasting AB-InBev lager. No idea what the sapphire hop pellets are supposed to be contributing to this. Some bread. Bitter taste, some prominent bite. Hard to drink pale lager. I thought maybe there’d be a chance that this would be a nice single-hop showcase, but no, it’s just a macro lager that’s all marketing, on the same level as Budweiser Black or Unobtanium or whatever

Not impressed. I was fooled by the black bottle thinking this must be a beer of substance. Side poured with a miniscule white head that lasted 3 seconds. Color was dark golden like urine and I imagine similar in taste. A little fruity aroma followed by malty yeast. Taste was very familiar and it took me a few sips to recognize where I had this before.....Bud Platinum. I do like the 6% alcohol volume but the taste is to syrupy sweet for my liking. I get a sugary fruit, maybe pears, dissipating into nothing but sweetness. There is no bitterness or citrus taste that I like in a beer as I prefer IPAs. The worst part is on the back of your tongue right before you swallow-yeasty, very heavy yeast.

Bright gold in color with a lingering head. Very mild aroma of sweet malt. Rich on the tongue with malty sweetness. Soft carbonation for a round mouthfeel. Bittered slightly on the finish.

Pours a nice gold color with a decent finger and a half slightly off white head with tight white bubbles. The nose is slightly grainy with citrus and grassy notes. There is also a bit of a fruity ester that I’m not able to distinguish. Nice carbonation, taste is much like the nose. Definitely not a typical lager taste. Finishes with a nice hoppy dryness. Nice carbonation. There is a slight sweet maltiness to the beer as well. Pretty good lager. Definitely different than the typical lager. Nice. Something different.

Pours a clear golden with a lot of carbonation and a big, foamy, white head that dissipates quickly. Grainy aroma, but backed with big piney notes and a bit of honey. Sweet all the way down, some bitterness follows. Light body, but a long, sticky honey like finish. I was actually quite surprised by how much I liked this one.

Beck’s by Bud. Bottle. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a moderately large white head that slowly fades. Aromas are of soggy, bland malt, and a very light fruity and lightly grassy hop note. Extremely clean fermentation. Flavors are lightly toasty, medium malty. On the sweet side and lacking crispness. Hardly any bitterness. Mild fruity hop character, but not much. Really inoffensive, but not a great lager to drink. By no means a drain pour. Lightly slick on the tongue, medium to light body with a neutral to sweet finish.

Virtually no smell. How did they do that? Pours med yellow with light white head that dissipates quickly. Typical light lager flavor that is refreshing on a hot day. Nothing special but not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I thought this was pretty tasty actually, for what it is. Not a big body but it goes down smooth, and while it lacks the crisp finish of a oils, the finish is still quite clean.
