From 12 ounce bottle bought at Western Hills Kroger, tasted on June 1, 2013. Light to medium gold/amber color, medium white head, subdued bittersweet/sour aroma, flavor that’s somewhat sweeter than your standard pale lager with a slightly sour undercurrent. Hops aside, I guess the Sapphire name is supposed to denote some kind of higher quality. I remember regular Beck’s being better than this. Once again, InBev proves it’s really a marketing machine, not a brewer. douglas88 (9572) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 22, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet unpleasant fruit, something like honey. The flavor is sweet malts, apples, honey, some toffee. Hmm. Not terrible. Not good. Drinkable. DuffMan (10610) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 18, 2014
Bottle. Golden body, average white head that settles out quickly. Aroma is sweet grains, light corn. Sweet grainy palate, no hops presence at all. They spent more time on the packaging than they did on the contents. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Attractive bottle packaging. Aroma: not much going on here at all. Have to really sniff around for some hints of honeyed malt. Flavor: not too bad. Caramel. Not much hops. Sort of reminds me of Michelob AmberBock, but tastes less boozy despite a higher ABV. Also less roast as it’s not a Vienna. Not bad, at any rate. Drinkable. Flavor doesn’t last long. A little heavy on the carbonation. mike67 (1245) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 5, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours golden with long lasting, foamy, white head. Nose is of honey and bready malt. Body is light-medium and smooth. Taste is of bready malt, some honey and hint of hops. At least I did not pay for this.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2014 This beer is inoffensive but boring. It’s light on body, hoppiness, and taste, in general. HuskerTan (2338) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - DEC 30, 2013
A- Grains, corn, apple.
A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Grains, slightly sweet, mild apple tones, mild bitterness.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp smooth finish.
O- Surprisingly decent. The sapphire hops in this are used well. A very drinkable beer. Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Grassy aroma with weird sugar candy/gum background. Fizzy yellow appearance, a shade darker then the STL team’s home brands.Very sweet with hint apple. Light body with a minor bite. Not at all what I expected, not as good as the original Beck’s, better than ’Bud Light Platinum,’ which it is most similar to in that company’s hierarchy. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 19, 2013
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of veggie, green apple, hints of celery, slight grain, biscuit, touch of earth. Taste is a mix of grass, grain, hints of green apple, some slight grain, bubblegum, bleh. Borup (15165) - Albertslund, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2013
Bottle. Clear yellow colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of hops, malt and grassy notes.
