Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Nothing exceptional about this one...just a classic pils. Still, it is somehow above the avarage mass produced pils.

Mediocre Euro-macro in the Heineken mold. Not enough hops to be a proper pilsner, almost pretending to be lager. Not terrible, not good either.

DrGonzo (625) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 27, 2003
Golden color, mild hops in the aroma with skunk accents. Flavor starts with a little hop bitterness and then gets a bit sweet. Better than I expected, though still not so good, but definitely not the worst beer appearing in a green bottle.

Much better than Heineken, in the same boat with St. Pauli Girl, but otherwise nothing special.

EddieG (169) - Palos Heights, Illinois, USA - JUL 26, 2003
Gold hue and typical skunky taste found in imports not handled with care. Drinkable.

Bottled. Don't know why I should have expected anything of a macro sold in a bomber bottle for under $2 at Osco, but there you are. Smells like a Miller Lite. Pale yellow color under a fluffy head that dwindles quickly. Light malt taste leaves a touch of hops at the end. Some adjunct taste? Gassy. What you get in college to "impress" a first date. Eh.

CEZ (415) - Milano, ITALY - JUL 25, 2003
Not bad for a macro. Straw yellow, average head, fastly diminishing. Grassy aroma and a clean and lightly bitter taste. A bit watery, but, actually, you CAN taste some hops in this beer, which is not true for many competitors' brews...

A shiny golden color on this german beer, bit it does not have the best of heads. A quite pleasant beer with a nice touch of bitterness.

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 15, 2003
Typical pils color with a small head. Some malts in aroma. Tastes a little to watery with some malt and some acidity. Finishes quick with some metallic notes.

Not too shitty. It may knock the untamed nose off its ass a bit but kind of grows on you after a while. Is very similar to St. Pauli Heineken and Grolsch(but of course you all knew that already.)
