2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Aroma: Cereal, yeast, cheap lemonade ; Appearance: Pale clear golden ; Taste : medium bitterness ; medium to low sweetness ; Palate: medium to light body, thin texture, average carbonation, long kinda unpleasant bitter finish, but not the pleasant bitterness (lasts for hours in the throat). Overall, completely bland and average beer, which, for a pils, is quite a good rating.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
275ml bottle. Pale, straw colour with a frothy white head. Sweet, grassy aroma. Taste is sweet, not much more evident. Pretty forgettable really

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A fairly typical lager of the type. Not a huge amount of aroma, a slightly sickly sweetness along with some bitter hop but not especially tasty and not much to it by way of body or aftertaste.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Review: 16 oz Can of Beck’s: ABV: 4.9%
This is the canned version straight from Germany and not the green bottle variety that many have complained about on the various beer sites. So I imagine should be less skunky….
Incidentally, Becks were the first German brewery to use green bottles…..
On pour get a very clear, very, very clear, light golden yellow appearance, with some nice carbonation, bubbling away. Has a decent sized frothy white head that looks good, but does reduce in size but maintains overall.
Some small lacing. Overall looks pretty decent
For the aroma I get a very slight whiff of a real beery smell, but its quite faint, can smell the grains, all nice but faint …………
On taste we get a nice creamy intro…..but there is a very strong lingering bitter taste throughout that pierces this beer. It is slightly stringent and not very nice to taste
No real aftertaste?
Bit of a cardboard taste detected as well
Is possible to get a nice mouthful and the beer has some depth to it with the barley and malts, but….that overall sour bitter taste prevails, of sweet corn perhaps, and its not good, and I found this beer overall fairly hard to stomach to be honest. Not a good beer at all……….

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
50 cl. can. Clear light yellow with a medium but short-lived white head. It has a quite metallic aroma which consists of malt and grains. Taste is medium sweet with a very light sourness, and a light bitterness at the end. Light body, thin to oily texture, average carbonation, dry finish. Another watery lager which you can drink on a hot summer day to refresh yourself.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Flat and boring. Metallic, grassy and skunky by default. Used to drink loads of this when I was younger and didn’t know better. A little bit more on the bitter side than some of the other big German Pilsener but that really doesn’t mean a lot...I will never spend money on it again but when it’s for free...

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Small bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Aroma of skunk and malt. Light sweet taste of grain and straw. Watery and light bodied, carbonation is average to lively. Another boring lager.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pale clear yellow with white head. Light sweetness in the aroma though not much specific malty notes, more like wine gums or some sort of candy. I can’t really sense much if any hoppiness. The taste is light sweet with malty notes of bread with a little grassy hop flavor and very little bitterness. A bit weak bodied and undercarbonated to my taste.
