Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Can from LCBO. Not purchased for drinking but rather for inserting up rear end of my bbq beer can chicken. Dumped a few fingers into my glass & was stunned to learn I’d yet to rate this. Maybe my rating had been deleted cuz of a simile comparing this to "hairy testicales steeped in sugary corn water". Does have that corn water sweetness. Not very enjoyable. Sweet & slightly skunky is not how I like my lagers. Back in high school this was the good stuff (along with hash oil cut with cough medicine, mullets & Glam metal). Now it’s probably not even worthy for beer can chicken. Avoid.

330 ml bottle from a supermarket in Italy. Colour is pale yellow with a small white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is light malt, corn. Taste is a little bit different from the standard lager. There is a particular bitterness. But I don’t appreciate it so much. Light body. Mild bitterness in the finish.

Had to try it. Now it’s done. The usual old 80’s beer. Common, nothing different, still better than average.

Bottle from the Brussels, Beer Cafe, Gurney Paragon, Penang, Malaysia. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is dry cardboard malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light mineral aspirin malt, woody light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Easy drinking and fine on a hot day but with little defining flavours.

Nose is hoppier than usual (for a lager): sweet pale malts, a bit of wetboard. Aroma is malty, a bit fruity from the hops. Metallic. Dry, crisp finish. Will do once or twice.

Bottle at HaMispara barbershop, Kfar Saba, while haircut. Probably pale yellow, but I was drinking it straight from the bottle, so I can’t really know. A simple lager which smells and tastes like grains with some herbs, bitterish. Light-bodied. Nothing special, but good enough for passing the time at the barbershop.
