What's up with the label on this? It looks like a monkey is either sitting on, or doing something unspeakable to a green tree branch. i dunno which. it has some interesting spicy/fruity aroma to it that i can't immediately identify. heh, maybe it's the tree branch the monkey was sitting on. It has a nice cloudy coppery color to it. the taste isn't that bad actually. nice light maltiness to it. it's on the watery side, but much better than i had anticipated. Very malty nose, golden, pours a small firm white head, leaves some lace. Tastes is sweet malt, hops are seemingly absent. Light bodied, softly sweet. Ordinary, but a nice little beer from this country. It comes in a bottle like Duvel(recycled?) The bottle I had said it was 5.2% abv. A big Thank You to Laf-o for the headsup on this one! UPDATED: JAN 7, 2004 I must have had an old bottle last time, grassy aroma, watery texture and a decent finish. Old rating: I should have known better than to have tried this beer. It tasted spoiled and I doubt that it would have been much better fresh. htzpah (105) - - SEP 14, 2014
Cloudy, very opaque. Smells and looks like a nice wheat beer. Taste is malty, with honey and toasted notes. Very good with spicy fare, as Ethiopian food usually is or can be. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 3, 2015
