Ok as far as Ethiopian beers go. Had a few of these as I kept thinking they’d bring the regular one and I’d get another tick. Some mash malt. Crispish finish. Medium to lower tier among Ethiopian lagers. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 21, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 355ml special export gold label. Rusted cap. Dark gold, thin fizzy , quickly dissipating head. Pale lager oxidized smell. Flavor is sweet and soy saucey, honesly vomit reminiscent. Ugh. Wont finish it, adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2013
Bottle @ home, courtesy of Homer321. Ethiopia tick. Thanks Homey! Pours a bit hazy dark yellow appearance with a thin white head. Light honey, papery/cardboard, corny, unpleasant aroma. Tangy, green apple, chewy bready, cardboard flavor. No.

bottle poured into my New Belgium globe. minimal head. very sweet malt nose, slightly crackery. murky gold color. very sweet and tired tasting. like it spent a week on a boat coming from africa. watery finish, thin. generally unpleasant. Imaena (2315) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle @ Gaslight Bar Shearton Addis Ababa. This beer is best enjoyed with a cigar at the Shearton in Addis. Otherwise its likely terrible. climberbob (458) - Virginia, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Bottle in restaurant in Addis. Pale yellow, thin white head. Hints of honey and malt on the nose and in the mouth. Mild bitterness and dry finish. Not bad for an Ethiopian macro - certainly much better than the Meta Premium that preceded it! beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - SEP 9, 2012
330ml bottle poured into a random old fashioned glass at a restaurant.
Hazy yellowish color with green hues and small white head.
Cooked veggies aroma, with bread crust and light malt.
Medicinal flavors overwhelm the low maltiness, cooked corn, low bitterness.
Light body, OK texture, not interesting but manageable. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2012
Bottle shared by drowland, huge thanks to Danny for this gem.....pours a hazy golden yellow with a very thin bubbly white head, the aroma is of grain and corn with a slight sourness to it, the flavor is of pure liquid corn with a burn of alcohol in the finish, yuck.
