Very dark brown. Nutty, with light caramel and a hint of espresso. Full body and lots of good choclate stuff. I would pint this. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 8, 2012
On tap at Bedondaine et Bedons Ronds, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of moderate roasted malt, some metallic notes and some burnt rubber. Flavour of light licorice, moderate roasted malts, some chocolate and toffee. Medium-bodied and a soft palate. Quite nice. Lubiere (13780) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2005
Deep dark with light burgundy hues, nice lacing moka head. Sweet chocolate caramel and light coffee notes in aroma. In mouth, rich sweet chocolate malt, prunes and cherry notes, alcohol wamth coming out. Rich bodied, silky and classy. Sammy (12096) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2008
Enjoyed at Festival Bières et Saveurs 2008. Opaque black with roast, malty creamy aroma. Mocha head with lace. Licorice, creamy chocolate, and roasted barley is the taste. Fairly full mouthfeel. j12601 (10925) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 17, 2011

Dark chocolate and fruity molasses rise slowly above the sticky lacing. Mostly sweet and roasty, but never outgoing, you can easily perceive that something rich resides within.
A decadent, rich mouthfeel with dark chocolate and molasses recalls Bièropholie’s Imperial Stout. Balanced, as all Bedondaine beers, with mild fruitiness and delicate roasted malt bitterness as a contour to the lip-smacking malt sweetness. Not exactly to any style, and I love it.
Sturdy walls offer warming protection.
tap at b&b ronds, chambly. very dark brown pour with a creamy and easily revived beige head, good retention and strong lacing. bitter chocolate, hint of smoke, minerals, lactose-like sweetness, semi-sweet though, bit of earthiness and resin. moderate to low carbonation, medium body - oily and silky, bold grassy-resinous and bitter coffee finish. not overly complex but good! jredmond (8204) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 18, 2010
BQ2010. Draft at The Bedondaine Brewpub. Poured dark body with some small brown lacing. Aroma and flavor were smokey and full of coffee and roasts - worst part was definitely the watery mouthfeel noticeable on many of these brews. TaktikMTL (7733) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 12, 2005

Appearance :Pitch black, stoic ebony with coffee dark creamy foam.
Aroma: Light roasty dark malts with hint licorice.
Medium bodied. Slightly earthy, dark roast followed. Creamy, softer finish. This ale has gentle nature, soft smoky touches, sweetened with coffee cake feel. Alcohol of good qualities, very smooth noticeable only as warm filler.14,5/20
