12 ounces on tap at brewpub. Aroma: chocolate, coffee, toffee, smokey. App: pitch black, medium brown head, nice lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, velvety, smooth, medium sweetness but not overwhelming. Overall : great beer. Exactly what I like in my milk stout. On tap at the brewpub. The color is black with a dark beige head. The aroma is of strong coffee. The taste is also of coffee but also of toffee and 85% dark chocolat. This is one of my favorite stouts.

On tap at brewery. 5oz sampler. Black. Aroma is really sweet and syrupy. It was interestingly surprising. Aroma was also roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt and still that great syrupy sweetness. Some bitterness was felt and some hints of hops maybe (not sure). Very nice. I felt it would make a nice stout to drink with deserts because of it’s syrupy sweetness. tap at b&b ronds, chambly. very dark brown pour with a creamy and easily revived beige head, good retention and strong lacing. bitter chocolate, hint of smoke, minerals, lactose-like sweetness, semi-sweet though, bit of earthiness and resin. moderate to low carbonation, medium body - oily and silky, bold grassy-resinous and bitter coffee finish. not overly complex but good!
