On tap at brewpub in Chambly, Quebec, Canada, where all the beers pour clear and taste clean and fresh. This beer pours clear amber with an off-white head and lacing. Aroma: nuts, caramel, spice. Flavor: Fisherman’s Friend cough drops, brown sugar, orange peel, sweet brown bread. Mouthfeel: medium- to full-bodied.

En fût à la brasserie. Couleur cognac, mousse beige. Carbonation faible, corps moyen.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 3, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Dark amber with stable head. Aroma of herbal liqueur; anise, juniper, and other perfumed continental herb tinctures. Soft palate. The herbal extract character is fun. Light kisses of orange candy, like Grand Marnier. Although it could use more malt character and body, the flavors are playful enough to keep it interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at the brewpub. pours light amebr with a small tan head. aroma is citrus, toffee, some licoric and floral hops. taste is very sweet, yet somewhat spicy. i’m tasting lots of either nutmeg or cinnamon. mouthfeel is on the light side, medium carbonation. an original beer, i’ll give it that much.

bedainedebiere (543) - Terrebonne, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 12, 2010
Tap at brewpub. Well-done as usual but not my type. Very sweet aroma, fresh and floral. Somewhat liquorish texture, with dominant notes of honey in the taste, making this brew a dessert-like (over)sweet beer. Notes of fruits and spices, I think nutmeg and maybe some cinnamon, and a delicate hop presence, quite leafy, also present. Alchool unnoticed. Subtle but enjoyable aftertaste. Interesting, even impressive, but very sweet.

Tasted this beer while on Beer Quest 2010 with the guys. This was beer number 63. Pour is amber. Aroma of bark and salt water. Flavor was sugary, like a sugar wafer. Strange, but good. Ginger and vanilla.
