Black color, with creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, some dirty water. Dry mouthfeel, roasted malt with dry dark chocolate; correct bitterness. Quite good.
Draft - Roast malts and some coffee bean. Jet black with a beige head. Burnt toast and a light bitterness. Lighter than the smell lets on. Lubiere (13992) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 22, 2013
A dark brown schwarzebier with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with chalky notes, grassy, OK. In mouth, a bitter chocolate with chalky notes, coffee, not bad. Sammy (12359) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2012
Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Pours oily black with some head. This is more malty, malted chocolate beer than a dry or bitter shwartzbier. A sweeter version of the style. An above average mouthfeel. There is roast, but it is hitched to the chocolate and chocolate malt. jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2012
2012-09-14. Very dark brown-black body with a small tan head. 3+ Sweetish dark malt, muted dry roast. 6+ Mild aroma, dusty roast. 6+ Smooth average plus body. Decent, but simple and a touch too mild overall. On tap at Beer Academy, Toronto

Deep black pour with a tight tan head. The nose is great. Soft cocoa aroma with some herbal backnotes. A moderate sweetness through the middle but it's balanced nicely by a little bit of light bitterness. Great balance. Another tasty lager from these guys. Roastier than is typical for a schwarzbier but it works.

Pretty good for a scharzbier, if that’s what it is. Smells a little dark and has some character. Tastes better than yer average black lager, whatever that means. Hell, last beer of night. blankboy (7714) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 17, 2012
Draught at the brewery, Sept. 14. Pours black, very black, with ruby hues and a small diminishing creamy beige head. Aroma of light smoke, toasted malt, some fruit and dark chocolate. Flavour is malty with hints of smoke and coffee. Average bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Seems right on style to what they wanted to make. Quite good. Aroma proper dry roast notes. Clean feel with hints of charcoal ,dry ash , dark chocolate. Solid true to style nose. 8-
Appearance dark brown with beige medium cap. Some lace shown. 4-
Flavor and Palate : yes, this is tri Schwartz. Medium light body yet not empty on palate. Dry roast with slight metallic touches. Clean, refreshing excellent thirst quencher. Very approachable version of this style. Nothing extreme square mid of style description. If to look for negatives here maybe was tad too soft. Finishing with hint of smoke.
