July 14, 2013 - at the Rhino Summer Beer Festival 2013. Cloudy/murky orange-gold with a solid creamy white head. Smells great - tons of noble hop bitterness, some alcohol presence, hint of banana and lots of peach and cranberry/rhubarb - lovely and tart. Taste follows, but has an almost smoky character - vaguly sulphury, but I like it, quite unusual (8-). Thick, airy but a bit undercarbonated, long building pitthy dry back-palate-coating bitter finish, definitely some dry tingly acidity in the linger. Not sure if it’s "on style" but it’s damned good. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2014
[6974-20141209] Tap. Mineral petrol grains aroma has a light lemon background. Slightly hazy, pale orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Bitter lemony mineral flavour has a slight banana finish. Medium body. Good. (7/3/8/3/15) 3.6

2014-12-01. Hazy dark pastel yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma has grassy straw hop character over a yeasty estery base. Flavour is fairly bitter, grassy straw hops, modest estery yeast. Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. Solid, well attenuated which may be a first here. The hops and the yeast clash occasionally but it is very nice overall. On tap at Beer Academy, Toronto. Cloudy golden pour with a fairly minimal white head that leaves a ring of lace. There’s a huge punch of fresh grapefruit on the nose with some underlying spicy notes. Really juicy on the palate as well, leaning toward a Five Alive sort of profile. There’s some spice hiding underneath but it’s fairly subdued. There’s also a certain wheatiness on the palate, maybe more pronounced in texture than flavour. The mouthfeel is fairly silky with a clean bitterness in the finish. I’m a fan. 625ml bottle from brewery. Hazy yellow/gold colour. On the palate i find that it is yeasty, banana and there is some bubble gum fruit that is amplified by a certain citrus rind coming from the hops. The palate shows a creamier texture with medium carbonation and a leafy bitter finish. Although it almost has a certain metallic component that goes away as the brew opens up a bit. Overall, decent stuff though.

Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy orange yellow with a one finger white head that laces well. Nose is wheat, bananas, bubblegum and quite a bit of pepper and cloves. Light sweet start with a bit more bitterness than a typical Weizen but not overly so and a well balanced spiciness that is more subtle than the nose. Medium light mouth with active carbonation and a crisp finish. I like the additional hop character to this one. Ferris (15273) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 26, 2014
Draft - Banana and some grassy hops. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Banana and a hoppy bitterness with some slight fruit notes. Not bad, the hop adds a nice refreshing dimension. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 13, 2014
625 mL bottle from the brewery, served in a weizen glass. Pours hazy straw-golden with a moderate, fluffy white head that mostly remains and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has lots of clove and banana, along with peppery spice and a mild hop note. The flavour is mildlly sweet up front with banana, pale malts, wheat and clove. There is a slight citrusy hoppiness that picks up through the middle, imparting a citrus peel bitterness with just a touch of tropical fruit that lingers through to the finish. It closes out with a long, lingering citrus peel and peppery finish, with hints of banana and pale malts. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and average carbonation. Overall, a reasonable hefeweizen with a surprising hoppy twist. It works fairly well; a good brew for a late summer’s evening on the patio. 2014-08-13 KansaiBeerLvrs (5153) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 11, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. The cloudy milky honey color isn’t that appetizing. Nice hoppy aroma with a good dose of wheat. Sharp carbonation, the taste is weizen cloves, light banana with a sharp bitter hoppy bite near the finish with the mosaic dry-hopping really coming through. Once it warmed up more weizen quality came through, nice it just loses points on looks/body.

Bottle from beer academy. Hazy light brown, delicate white head. High carbonation. Aroma of yeast, mango, pineapple, banana, pepper and alcohol. Light body for the "wheatie" character. I little hot considering it’s only 5.8%. Otherwise, an enjoyably balanced bittersweetness. Refreshing.
