COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two enthusiastic beer lovers from Greece, Dia Papanikolaou and George Kostopoulos, and one award-winning professional brewer from Italy – Davide Zingareli – met ‘by chance’ and decided to make a brand new beer in Greece, Delphi Beer.

They brewed their first lot in Davide’s own brewery in Italy and the tasty result will be launched in the Greek market at the beginning of June 2013.

As of September, though, Delphi Beer is going to be available nationwide, produced exclusively in Greece at the new state-of-the-art brewery of ELIXI S.A. in Halkida.

Bottle from Maltby Street Market Bermondsey and drunk at home. 5% abv. Hazy gold amber colour lasting white head. Yeasty lemon aroma. It’s actually pretty good. Not sure what a good it is. Not sure it’s a pilsner. Hoppy and bitter I guess, some good lemon flavour. Yes I ended up quite liking it. Bit over carbonated. But it’s pretty much good fun.

(750ml bottle, BB, 3105/2017) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of white grapes, florals, kumquats, and passion fruit. Flavor of black pepper, white grapes, herbs, florals, and grass with a moderately dry finish. Fantastic. I could eat every meal with this beer.

Kauge (1949) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 30, 2016
Bottle from a nice little cafe in Delphi. Pours hazy pale yellow with big off-white head swhowing excellent retention and lace. Very nice, sweet and citric with bitterish grassy aroma and flavour. The bittersweet taste is nice but not exactly pilsnery. Refreshingly crisp, body lightish, finish dryish. Too bad about the moderate bitterness - would be excellent with a bit more of pilsnery grass character.
