Great low-abv beer and nice black IPA. A bit light on hops though.
500 ml bottle. BBE 15.7.2011.harrisoni (18817) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2010
Pours a pitch black colour with a large, foamy, beige head. A bit lacy. Aroma of very strong hops with pine needles and smoke. Flavour of strong hops, chocolate, pine needles, grass and coffee with some sweet notes as well. Medium bodied with a very smooth mouthfeel and a mouthdrying hoppy finish. Very pleasant for such a low-ABV brew.
Bottle at Euston Tap. Shared with Ken and Yan. Cloudy dark brown. Lasting beige. Love the aroma. Great hoppy aroma. Lovely but not worth 12 quid. Great light abv black ipa. Gorgeous though. Over carbonated but finish lasts and on mjs (7470) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 12, 2010
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Pikkulintu) The beer poured dark brown and almost clear. Its head was quite large and shaded with brown. Aroma had mildly malts and quite a lot of black currant leaves. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours had malts, hops, mildly liquorice, pine, tangerine and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Impressive that such a tasty beer can be brewed so that the ABV is only 4.7 %.

Bottle. Dark brown with huge pale brown head. Aroma of grapes and roasted malts. Nice. Taste hoppy, dry grape, some bitterness, and a bit of malt in the background. Given only 4.7% ABV this is an amazingly taste beer, but I can´t see the meaning of the black IPA style. esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 8, 2010
Bottled. Perfect looks: dark ruby with rich head. Fruity sweet hop aroma(apricots, some perfumy soap) with roasted malts. Dark chocolate and a hint of ash in the finish. Dry maltiness, a touch of caramell and bitter aftertaste with enjoyable combination of dark malts and slightly resiny bitterness. Smooth, rich texture. No way thin one is 4,7% abv. ekstedt (6881) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2010

Dark brown with an average amount of off white head. Hoppy spruce, chocolate, caramel, licorice aroma. Some fruit on the background. Bitter. roasted malts, spruce, chocolate flavour. Soft carbonation and dry after feel. Surprisingly full bodied for a 4,7% beer. Patrizietto (3) - ITALY - NOV 16, 2010 does not count
