Bottle @ Ølkonsortiets BeerHere tasting. Pours black with small offwhite head. Aroma of hops, pine, grapefruit and roasted malt. Taste is hoppy with some coffee, caramel and roasted malt added. Medium to big ( for a 4,7 ABV beer ) body, soft carbonation, long roasted finish. Just good. 280111 thewolf (12755) - Kolding, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2010

Deep, deep red - black from a distance. Big, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has plenty of plant sappy hops, some roasted malts, some fruitiness. Medium carbonation, fairly light and rather dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a tad unbalanced. Some clear hops, resiny and plant sap. Fairly roasted and malty dry with some chocolate hint. Long, lingering, bitter, fresh finish. Good, but it just somehow lacks the final coherence.
clear dark brown, large smooth offwhite head
very strong nelson sauvin aroma, "cat piss", actually when i think cat piss and not hops, the aroma is not that good. faint malty base.
flavor is hoppy, roasted malts, malty base, hops dominate. madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2010

Draught. Deep dark brown almost balck colour with Pours a beige head. Quite hoppy sweet bit roastish caramel malty aroma. Good filling mouthfeel. Lots of hops in the dark malty roasty caramel flavour along with citrus and bit some chocolate notes. Nice!

Bottle from Beer Merchants, consumed at home 23.12.10 Pours black with a nice beige head. The flavour is initially plenty of chocolate there is hops but they are late to the party and whilst not offering a big hoppiness they are definately there and play there part well, some coffee also noted. This is the sort of beer that you can happily sip and barely notice it’s almost gone (which I did) very pleasant. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6 pivnizub (10768) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2011
Bottle: Hazy, deep amber coloured, almost black, medium-sized - quite stable - lacy beige head; exotic fruits and piney hops in the nose, backed by a touch of roasted malt (almost smokey); moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty soft; lingering fruity (pineapples) and piney-hoppy finish with some dry toasted malt in the aftertaste. Just good..... KimJohansen (10511) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2010

Pours black color with a medium head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malts, hops, fruits and some cocoa notes. Flavor of roasted malts, dark fruits, hops and chocolate. Good black ipa but nothing special.
It’s transparent black with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma is hoppy with notes of spruce, straw and citrus. The flavour has a light sweetness and a light, dry bitterness, and it has the same hoppy notes as the aroma plus nice licorice. The finish is roasted.
