0.5l bottle. Another one of the cats! This one purrs a licorice-murky brown body with a medium sized sidesticking light brown head. It smells quite a lot, and it smells pretty darn nice! Lot’s of black licorice, chocolate, roasted sweet goodies and a strong fresh hoppy thing that’s holding it all nicely together. It actually in some bizarre way reminds me of new-car smell! Flavors? Oh yeah.. Light sweet and roasted with both salty licorice, thin chocolate, cold coffee, dark caramel, bitter and cutting-through hops. The only thing reminding me that this is a 4.7percenter is the body that’s a bit on the light side, but hey, this is another fine and really impressive one from one amazing brewer. In my opinion the whole series should be mandatory in all Norwegian grocery stores. 29.06.2012 OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2011
0.5L bottle. Dark reddish brown and translucent, with a lacing near-white head. Soft, light chocolatey and toasted malt aroma, together with a significant tropical fruity and catty Nelson Sauvin hop aroma. Medium sweet, softly roasted and chocoltey malt flavor. Notes af licorice. Nice topical fruity and citrussy hop flavor. Distinct hop bitterness all the way. Well-bodied. Soft on the palate. Fruity bittering hops linger in the finish. Good stuff. sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2010
Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, light roasted, citrus, grapefruit and pine. Flavour is caramel, grapefruit, pine, citrus and light roasted malt. Good bitterness and long aftertaste. Habanero (4682) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2011
On tat @fairbar, Aarhus. Deep brown body with a small tan head. Good lacings. Nose of exotic fruits and roasted caramel. Hoppy flavor of tropical fruits, citrus and roasted malts. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. Very nice bitter finish. Black IPA is one of my favorites but I think this one needs more roasted malts. stouby (4666) - Holbæk, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2011
