COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

daje (4436) - NORWAY - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle shared at Øl og matfestivalen. Dark brown , huge beige head. Roasty aroma of dark fruits, plenty of hops. Complex roasty taste with coffee, tropical fruits, licorice and spices. Good dry hoppy ending

Bottle. Aroma is very roasty with strong blue cheese hops. Some liquorice and caramel. Flavour is dry and roasty with a mild hop note. Need to try a fresher bottle for the hops to shine I guess. Still very nice though.

sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2010
Bottle at home. Pours a clearish dark brown with a light beige head. Smells of sauvin and caramel. Bitter with aromas of hops and roasted caramel. At first also terrible aroamas of cykelslange and petrol. Also hints of plant sap. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Bitter finish with aromas of toasted malts.

hawthorne00 (3951) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 11, 2011
Bottle 9C. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Very fruity aroma with gooseberries, grass clippings, lychees and darkish caramel. Thinnish body. Taste has a little burnt malt, chocolate, licorice and the mentioned fruit. Fruity finish with growing roasted bitterness. As usual with sort of thing some of the hop aromatics are somewhat obscured, but in this case the fruity bits of the Kiwi hops remain whilst ironically the cat’s piss / cleaning fluid is mostly buried.

mile (3947) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 14, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber, average and mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, fruity, lots of piney + Nelson Sauvin hoppyness, light caramel. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, lots of piney hoppyness, light roastiness. Finish is average, malty and dryish, lots of piney hoppyness witch gets little soapy and harsh. Nicely hopped 4,7% black IPA, really fine Nelson Sauvin in the aroma – although this lacks in the flavor (aroma and flavor not in balance). Interesting but not top-notch.

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - APR 15, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, notes of caramel and hops with flowers, fruit, spices and grapefruit. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.

Gerbeer (3753) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2013
500 ml bottle. 2011 vintage. Pours a very dark brown/red with light persistent head. Aromas of sour mash and pine. Flavours of molasses, roasted malts, funky New Zealand like hops, liquorice and sourdough. Excellent.

abemorsten (3615) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2011
Kindly shared by gunnar. Murky amber with a creamy light brown head. Apricot, herbs and prune among the aromas. Bitter, roasted flavor with hoppy and metallic notes and an acidic touch. Syrupy texture. Medium to full body. Long bitter finish. Medium carbonation.
