Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dark mahogony with a small tan head leaving so fantastic lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is huge piney hops with a touch of toasted malts. Piney hops leave a nice linger in the mouth. Mouth feel is light and slightly resinous. Good beer ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2010
Bottled. Dark brown with hazy amber edges. topped with a low firm tan-colored head. Big whooping hop aroma blooming pine-trees, resin and grapefruit in the aroma with roasted and chocolaty undertones. Medium-bodied with quite pungent hop flavours of pine and resin, then comes solid notes of roastd malts and mild coffee. Really long piney and grapefruity, almost inky finish of roasted malts with peppered chocolate. Me like. A lot! Brewed by a genius (whoever he is). ;)! Transparent slightly hazy reddish brown beer with a tan head. The aroma is roasted malty and flowery with notes of nuts, gooseberry and tropical fruits. Malty flavor, medium sweet, with medium hop bitterness and notes of grapefruit and a little licorice. The body is light, texture oily, soft carbonation. Dry bitter finish. I really want to dig this - but I don’t. Too smooth. Defreni (3222) - Husum, DENMARK - MAR 26, 2011
Pours dark brown with a quickly fading small head.
Tropical fruit on the nose along with sweet caramel and roasty malt.
Very similar flavours, tropical hops and a small amount of roasty malt. Finishes with a bold hoppy bitterness.
Carbonation is suitably moderate...

Bottle. Pours dark amber, off white head. Floral notes and citrus sweetness in aroma. Dark malts and flowery hops in taste. Big taste for a 4,7%ABV beer. esp0r (2921) - NORWAY - JAN 15, 2012

Pours dark brown, nearly black in glass, huge tanned head. Smells of blackberries, citrus zests and roasted malts. Malty body, some sweetness, but on the lesser side. Distinct roasted malts with some coffee as well. Nice oily feel and quite dry on the palate. Nice bitter finish with berries and some malt bitterness as well. Fat Cat’s black cousin
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2014 Aroma of pine, citrus, hops, grassy notes and you can feel the darker touch in there too. The taste add some roasted malts, coffee and light smoke character. Love the concept . Nickls (2535) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 25, 2011
Bottle. Nearly black color with a light tan head that goes quickly. Straightforwar grapefruit hops with some citrus and darker fruit notes and light chocolate in the aroma. More toasty in the taste, but certainly remains hop-forward with berries and grapefruit...finishing with light burnt chocolate. Slick with OK carbonation.
