Bottled. Dark brown with hazy amber edges. topped with a low firm tan-colored head. Big whooping hop aroma blooming pine-trees, resin and grapefruit in the aroma with roasted and chocolaty undertones. Medium-bodied with quite pungent hop flavours of pine and resin, then comes solid notes of roastd malts and mild coffee. Really long piney and grapefruity, almost inky finish of roasted malts with peppered chocolate. Me like. A lot! Brewed by a genius (whoever he is). ;)! fiulijn (20993) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 26, 2011

Dark brown color. Very nice fruity aroma, I smell apples too with the passion fruit. Dry mouthfeel; the carbonation makes the mouthfeel smooth; the roasted malts are not excessive, while the hopping is powerful. Very pleasant.
Medium very vast light brown tan head on top of a dark ruby colored beer.
Smell bit dusty with honey, sweet darker fruits, toasted sticky barleys and malts, light hoppy, some citrus, floral
Taste hoppy, herby, medium bitter, malty, toasted malts, hint of darker fruits.
hoppy low bitter hetby aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.
Very good considering the low alcohol percentage. tarjei (1954) - Bryne, NORWAY - AUG 13, 2010
50 cl bottle at home, bought at ØlKonsortiet, Aalborg. Dark brown color, very nice beige head. Aroma is Nelson Suavin hops and dark malt. Flavor is dark and roasted malt, hint of liqourice, fine medium bitterness, medium sweetness. A very nice beer at 4,7%. beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2010
Bottle. First i would like to say YAY Nelson Sauvin! The beer pours a black color with alot of ruby red notes coming through the bottom of the glass. Aroma is of nelson sauvin = tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. I also get grapefruit, and good amount of roasted malt. Flavor starts of with alot of tropical fruit, the mango and pineapple, peach, grapefruit and a nice bitterness. Then i get roasted malt, espresso coffee and some smoke. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall this is a really good BIPA, but not as good as Dark Hops.

Bottled. Perfect looks: dark ruby with rich head. Fruity sweet hop aroma(apricots, some perfumy soap) with roasted malts. Dark chocolate and a hint of ash in the finish. Dry maltiness, a touch of caramell and bitter aftertaste with enjoyable combination of dark malts and slightly resiny bitterness. Smooth, rich texture. No way thin one is 4,7% abv. Draught at Lord Nelson Bar, Copenhagen. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of caramel, hops, chocolate, roasted malt and fruit. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 22, 2011
Bottle (purchased in Aust, drunk in NZ). Delicious dark chocolate on both the nose and the palate. The tropical fruit from the hops isn’t overpowering but does a great job of lifting the overall flavour. A more subtle ’Black IPA’ that most these days, and all the better for it. Grima (2499) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUN 29, 2011
In the glass, black as night, with lots of brown foam. Smells very aroma hoppy, Cascade, also slightly like dark malts and caramel. The beer starts with a heavy malt body, roasting coffee-bitter, with a wonderful aroma hops in the background, which increase more and more, by time. The finish turns out again very strong to dark malts, slightly bitter, with strong aromas of roasted coffee. Terrific beer! gam (4000) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2011
